I love the CLA since the commercial with Casey Neistat. Elegant design, enough space, and good fuel economy

POLE TO POLE. This car in its top spec plus special wheels/tires was driven from the North Pole, criss-crossing all over Canada and the USA then the full length of Latin America in every terrain and weather. The car was then transported to the South Pole where it drove to the centre where all the national flags are of explorers who have reached it. In Antarctica they pulled a trailer with a Wind Turbine on it and they also used Solar panels to charge. So to all the EV snobs who put it down....F! OFF!

But I have DISCOVERED Very Challenging Terrain at the Mall that require the GX550 Overtrail Plus+'s off road prowess... especially parking in TWO Adjoining Parking spaces so that Lesser Vehicles DO NOT bang my Truck when they open their car doors or Speed Bumps that are located at too close of intervals... eKDSS Please... and the Fantastic 2/3 fold down rear seat... I am a lifelong car enthusiast. I like them all, big or small. Raised on muscle cars and trucks, then opened my world up to imports and the oddballs. I love driving for fun, but i hate commuting. Commuting by car has no joy. As my kids get older and become more independent, I've gotten back into cycling as transport. We can ride together and they learn how to navigate on their own. Our area has just begun to consider safe cycling infrastructure, so safety (from cars) is lesson #1. Our oldest wants to learn everything about driving & working on vehicles, but he also requested an e-bike when he turns 16 and enters the job market. Maybe im doing something right.

After seeing hundreds of ads every time I log into the internet, reading reviews I'm doing my research I was excited to finally purchase the carbon one pro. Less than 24 hours while working on the border I tore my ACL. Within 24 hours of purchase I contacted the company and asked to cancel this purchase do to me being on disability for the next 4 to 6 months. I explained set at 45% disability pay the responsible thing to do would be to cancel the order and when I was healed repurchase the bike. Numerous emails back and forth I was told I would be charged a $300 cancellation fee based on the fact that I financed do the company they recommended. I contacted the financial company they said there was no cancellation on their end it was Utopia's policy. It seems that Utopia puts the $ before good customer relationships. When I'm healed I will not be purchasing from Utopia

How much could it possibly cost to have a dash board covered in leather? My girl had a car that popped out of gear, i was told it was caused by drivers resting their hand on the shifter while cruising. Seems early on yours tho

THANK YOU!!! I’m 6’5” and finally I’ve come across a tall guy doing a vehicle review! I have subscribed!!! I like the GX 550. I like the Overtrail and not for taking off road. In my area some of the streets and roads can be pretty rough, so I like having something that can handle the potholes, ruts and bumps. 🫡💪🏽👍🏽

Great review. Please stop saying this vehicle is expensive. People pay $90,000 plus for a Ford Bronco Raptor or a Range Rover, both with horrible reliability. This is an excellent value for the money-worth every penny.

I'm not a Lexus fan, but boy that's one ugly vehicle. Overkill and just not at all what I think the original Lexus brand was about: Luxury in a quiet way. All these SUV's by Lexus, Cadillac, Buick, Lincoln and such are so stupid and moronic. I hate every one. I'm a Cadillac guy and own two older sedans. One is even a Cimarron which was a re-badged Chevy Cavalier with nicer trim. I think that's more Cadillac than these silly Escalades. I used to be a huge Buick fan. Today there isn't one thing in the Buick line that I'd buy. The fact that so many people keep buying these over-sized SUV's and trucks is just proof that gas prices are way too low.

Funny I have owned my 16v scirocco for 24 years and I don't feel it was that bad. I even picked up a second one to rebuild as a track toy (my first an 88 and my new one is an 87)...... my buddy has two of them too🙃. I have also owned serval 951's and some 930 SC's in the past. Are Scirocco's best upgrades are a set of KW V3's set up on scales, TT exhaust and TT ABF cams, Missing linkz shifter and to top it off SCCH bearing shifter ball....

Being content with my 2014 Corolla with 150K miles and being far removed from a car payment while still getting 35mpg has become a way better feeling than driving some contraption with a large payment that has the capability to cross the Sahara, when I just need to go to/from work and run general errands like most people. I love cars, especially the obscure ones that Ethan reviews, but these overland vehicles and roided out pickups that people drive to an office park or kids to practice just make me laugh. These companies are just appealing to your emotions and trying to trap you with big financial burdens. Work towards freedom, not more unnecessary bs.

These were great looking cars and hold up well today! I think they need to start using the white on white on cars of today! I like it better the all blacked out cars . I always thought the interior was way ahead of it's time. It was clean looking and streamlined. The 80s and 90s Pontiacs were so cool! They never should of killed off Pontiac!

i have owned 8, but you can do it, if your buying low milage, cars, with service history. when you start going off on peculiar models, and want to spend money doing them up, thats when it becomes a money pit......when they stop working, you just look for another used car, thats been looked after.....

Ethan , I am giving you a 🥇 for the title of this video and I will go one step farther. I am old enough to remember when the vast majority of people driving body-on-frame 4X4s were people who actually needed them. Once we accept what a frivolous indulgence 4X4s have become today, the pressure to worry about their ludicrous prices is completely eliminated. 😉

My buddy just bought a + in green, it's definitely the spec to have. The big wheels on the pavement oriented trim just look goofy imo.
@RetroCarsForever3 күн бұрын
Agreed, unnecessary for most people...But then again, many vehicle purchases dont make much sense (luxury brands as a whole are all strictly irrational purchases). So I have to hand it to Lexus for bringing this hip looking design that stands out in a sea of blobby new crossovers. And I also applaud them for including some traditional interior controls like the PRNDL gearshifter.

What do you think of the Lexus GX550 Overtrail+? Perfect spec or overkill?
@rightlanehog31513 күн бұрын
It would need a front locking differential to reach the overkill level. 😁 Luxury buyers with outdoorsy aspirations often like to ski. The Toyota /Lexus decision to drop the 40/20/40 second row from the GX, Land Cruiser and 4Runner is inexplicable and frankly indefensible.
@dr.danchallice38883 күн бұрын
Runner up: the Dodge Charger.
@graeme21033 күн бұрын
Thought this was a pretty spot on review. We went with the Ariya for the better ride and nicer interior over most of its competitors. It also had very good lease rates (leasing makes the car eligible for the federal tax rebate - get em while you can). DC fast charging is a once in a blue-moon event for us so the extra couple of minutes to charge vs a EV6 or Ionic 5 wasn't a consideration. Everything else about the car is great. I even consider the relative lack of storage space up front a bonus - fewer spaces for my other half to fill with trash/junk. Only thing I disagreed with in the review was that my Ariya came with a level 2 charger, and the video literally showed the level 2 charger (look at the plug shape). In fact, all but the lowest trims come with a level 1 and level 2 compatible charger. Only the lowest trim is level 1 only.
@HelloRoad3 күн бұрын
Yep I already added a correction note above. Some early Ariyas seemed to only come with Level 1. I have my own Level 2 charger and didn't notice the 110v adapter on the Nissan charger :)
