This race should have been on prime time TV. Hopefully, there’s plans for a series.

Hello irvan36mm, I think that would benefit everybody. If not prime time, at least syndicated. I also would have liked to see at least 15 minutes of live pre-race, and maybe 5 or 10 minutes of post race coverage as well. Show us bit more of the condition of the bikes after the race, etc. The other thing I noticed is that anyone tuning in 3 minutes or more after the race began would excusably have assumed it was just a 2 bike race. It's like the rest of the pack didn't exist. Hopefully they'll realize just how many of us are tuning in just for the baggers (and maybe hanging out a little to watch the other races) and readjust their priorities and coverage style a bit for the betterment of all. I guess we'll have to watch the remaining 2021 races and see. Ride Safe, Namaste. -GeezeRider

I’m excited to see Harley go on in on this series which tells me a performance bagger from them is on the way.

At the heart of it, this is the purest form of old school competition, as these riders and their crews are wringing every ounce of performance out of every aspect (braking, cornering, acceleration) of a daily rider design that was not intended to be pushed to their ultimate limits. Nice to see the question on the street be settled (again) on the track in such an entertaining manner. Would be nice to see some other manufactures in this touring weight class bring their A-game to the track next year, if they think they could… compete?

I think that the King of the Baggers Race is important for the Motorcycle Industry, as a means to improve their cruisers. Much like racing basically created and dramatically improved supersport bikes...this race forces a lot of innovations to be incorporated on baggers. And it is also a lot of fun to watch. Personally I think a great bagger race venue would be an Isle of Mann event, because of the large distances and endurance involved, and the hills, the turns, the sometimes wet road conditions...all simulate what a normal rider on a bagger would experience out in the wild. Nice thing about Laguna Seca is its very challenging sets of turns.

What a great idea. It might also help to draw a more international audience.

Add a box-stock class(stage 1 only) and you'll get crowd's in the stands, and a packed paddock mark my words ...I gotta bagger ready right now !!!

Hi David, Agreed! I too think a race between bone stock bikes would be VERY relatable for most people. While I absolutely LOVE watching the current race series as it's being run, I think the addition of a race of truly stock, run of the mill bikes (For example: No Harley CVO's would be in this new class), from even more brands, would really resonate with an even larger audience. I'm thinking requirements of a full stock fairing and full stock bags. Maybe 2 or 3 divisions to accommodate a few different displacement ranges. Other than that, Let 'em rip, and let's see what wins! Ride Safe, Namaste. -GeezeRider

Someone should race on a Moto Guzzi, and Dominate!
@GeezeRider3 жыл бұрын
Hi Frank, You mean like the MGX-21 or California? I haven't heard that the V twin bike racing can't be transverse mounted, so I don't see why not. I think they'd be a great addition to the races. As far as domination goes, we'd just have to wait and see how things played out on the track. My opinion is competition between brands is eventually good for all of us. Thanks for your input, -GeezeRider

@@GeezeRider I ride a 1100 2002 California. Great handling bike, seems to be well accepted by Harley Riders, who mainly ride among. Though a small displacement in comparison, I have no problem keeping up, and in the turns, pretty much smoke them. In this race a more modern 1300 California would probably be right in there, and I think would have an advantage in the turns. Moto Guzzi's racing heritage has not been lost!
