Picked up a Dynamo 156 for my trip to Washington last Feb. Turned out to be deep as hell and all I had to do was move back my bindings and it handled pow like a champ. Now that I'm back home in the Midwest, moved my bindings back up for more of an all around board, park stuff and icey groomers. 30 yrs of riding and I've never had a board hold an edge like this one. 10/10

For other people looking to purchase. I weigh 155, and im 5'11". I got the 159 and its awesome. I snowboard mostly in Utah, and this thing hauls ass down groomers and icey conditions. On powder I set the bindings back and the board rides through it nicely. I got the 159 because I mostly rider groomers, powder runs, and I like to bomb down slopes so I wanted the extra stability for higher speeds. I did a side by side comparison of the 156 and the 159, and the 159 seems to have a more pronounced camber where as the 156 seemed much more flat to the ground with a less pronounced camber. Also because the 156 is thinner it has more flex to it. If you want a board that feels slightly more dynamic and quick turns, jibs, and tricks then id recommend 156. however if you want the stability and stiffer flex for going fast, powder runs, hard aggressive turns, and handling terrible conditions then definitely go for 159.

For all-mountain resort riding I am currently on a 159w ejack from 2019. I am 6'2", 160ish lbs, 11 boot. I love the ejack but it is a little too much board for me--most days I am not charging hard enough to ride it how it should be ridden and I feel like I would progress faster/have more fun with a more playful board. I like laying trenches going fast on groomers, popping off rollovers, hitting small/medium sized cliffs and jumps, and charging in pow when the conditions are right. The ejack does all of this but makes you work for it and makes you look a fool when you aren't going hard. Would the Dynamo be an improvement on the Ejack for someone with my riding preferences?

You are so positive on this board. I almost want to buy it. I'm actually looking for a new board and I'm having a hard time desiding. Maybe you can help. I'm 6.3 and about 220LBS with a boot size 11. So I'm a big boy. Good part about that is that it narrows down what's available. Been riding for about 25 years. Most of them as a teacher as well. I used to be a bit more all mountain. Actually doing everything. From Powder to park (except rails. Hate those) But nowadays, being a bit older, having a bad back and riding a bit less I'm leaning much more towards freeriding and powder. Laying down big carves and ending up in the pow. Not riding any park. For the really deep powdays I have a Volkl Selecta, but as a every day driver I'm looking for something else. Right now I have a 4 year old T.Rice. It's was good for the way I used to ride, but now it seems a bit boring. Turning is easy but I don't get a lot out of it and I almost don't using it for freestyle stuff. I do ride some switch but that's mostly for teaching. I can do that on a Selecta as well. So looking for a new board I narrowed it down to 3. The Dynamo 162W, the Ejack 162W and the Jamie Lynn 166W. (Yes, I love Lib and Gnu boards) I feel they are all freeride but also different and I would really like a bit more info about the difference between those 3.
@AngrySnowboarder2 жыл бұрын
Ejack is more all mountain freestyle than all the rest. Dynamo is kind of the do everything out of the bunch. For what you're describing the Jamie is probably the way to go.

Thanks! Bought the dynamo and love it! Now I am looking for a second and more freestyle oriented board to go out and ride with my kids.
