Yes, John. Not sure about replacing, but rather now Hyundai also has a baby SUV. Thanks.

No. Casper DO NOT Replaces Morning/Ray. While the priority of Ray is a 'Korean KEI-CAR', Casper is a SUV, like Suzuki Hustler. More specifically, Casper is the follow-up model of Hyundai ATOZ/Santro, which has been discontinued in Korea.
@johnholst3 жыл бұрын
@@syoon9437 Perhaps. I only bring it up because it seems they are getting rid of many good small cars in favor of small suv's here in Korea. For example, when they introduced the Rey, they stopped selling the Pride. We also stopped getting the Accent. And we no longer have the i30 in Korea. I think it won't be long before they ditch the Morning and Rey as well. We'll see.
@syoon94373 жыл бұрын
@@johnholst As part of cost reduction, KIA does not directly produce small cars. Instead, they have made a company called 'Donghee Auto' to produce Morning and Ray. Yeah, FRED, it seems that Hyundai Casper shares its powertrain with Kia Picanto and Kia Ray. Thanks.

They should bring the Casper to Canada, it would sell well. It would be cool to see an AWD version, a small car like that with AWD would be perfect for my needs.

I just watched the live stream of the genesis gv60. Before I said I did not like. After seeing more of it hearing the designer talk so passionately about the design, I really like it . Looks really nice in the silver, not yellow. Hyundai, kia and genesis have come a long wait and should be taken serious. Eventhough I love nissan brand, I would have a kia or Hyundai or genesis in my driveway. Thanks

I purchased a 2022 Kia Rio s yesterday here in the US of a. Many car companies are discontinuing small cars because it won't appeal to the American market. Kia sold $24, 000 Rios last year and they might drop it. Also, they might be providing a small crossover and an SUV and its place. I don't know, but I think some of these cars that are smaller than the Rio such as this Hyundai Casper might appeal to many young people. And with gas prices going up, that might be sufficient and mandatory for some people.

What was the reason why Hyundai didn't put their logo in the middle of the steering wheel? It looks pretty cool and very functional for a low price. Somehow, this looks better than the Hyundai versa.

Hey Charlie good to see you I like that little car and I agree the intense blue is the best.. the one thing I thought was kind of strange from the side is the second row window passengers it looks like a smaller window than the front two windows the driver. It's just kind of makes it seem strange when the windows are different sizes or at least it appeared that way.. I don't think it'll come to North America as we like bigger cars but if it comes as electric that would be good! 👍👍👍

I don't necessarily dislike the vehicle I just feel that the engine is way too small. And I don't see the longevity of the engine being so small. That might work out great for City driving but not for Highway use. I would much rather Hyundai put a 2.0 engine in it. Unfortunately when Hyundai uses engines in the 1.0 range especially when they add Turbo they tend to have problems down the road. I would love to see this vehicle in approximately 3 years from now after it's been redesigned for the following generation. I think then it'll have a better engine size and they will probably work on the front end looks of the vehicle. It definitely stands out as it currently looks. I believe people in America however would much rather prefer the headlights be at the top along with the turn signals and I'm not sure if the general public is ready to go back to round headlights. But actually overall for the price the size and what the vehicle offers I am impressed. But I think I will prefer waiting like I said for the next generation of that vehicle to come out after they've worked out all the Kinks if you know what I mean. Take care and as always I enjoy your show and look forward to the next one. Thanks for always keeping the public up-to-date.

if this was sold in the US the engine would be swapped for a larger displacement 4 cylinder engine as gas is cheap in the US, but it would also cost more in the US due to the changes. This is an inline 3 banger 1L engine.

Not a fan of the extra air intakes on the turbo model. The non-turbo face is cleaner and better looking. I think a single fully loaded model with an MSRP of $15,000 in the USA would sell tremendously.

Yes, you can get the regular Hyundai Casper without the air intakes! Thanks.

I would say the verbal use of "SUV" is heavily based on its popularity having become the size and style everyone wants over the last decade. Looking up its definition the SUV started out as a large frame often borrowed from small and medium trucks offering large vehicles with lots of passenger volume and substantial trunk space suggesting comfortable long trips for the whole family with some light off-road capabilities. The SUV design progressed as the fuel economy has gone up and down and now back up again along with all the city dwellers wanting the SUV look and feel in just a smaller package that did better on fuel consumption. This consumer demand drove the industry to use chassis borrowed from your classic hatchbacks and large sedans paired with smaller engines to lighten the load for fuel efficiency and then taking greater detail to maximizing interior space within a compact outer shell. These vehicles were first called Crossovers and CUV's (compact utility vehicles).The words - sedan, hatchback, wagon, and even crossover lost their luster as SUV became fame and for all reasons stated has a wide spectrum of vehicles under its loosely interpreted definition.
