Merry Christmas Eve everyone! As much as we have ragged on Mitsubishi in the past, this redesigned Outlander shocked us with its ideal blend of style, comfort, technology, and value. The slightly anemic engine is the only sore part, but that should be addressed when the PHEV comes out next year and hopefully Mitsubishi will borrow the new 1.5L Turbo engine from the 2022 Rogue at some point. I really like Mitsubishi's strategy here. They know that 95% of buyers in this class could care less about bracket racing(thus them using the trusty Nissan 2.5 here vs an unproven/unreliable powerplant), but they DO care about the driving experience, safety, and overall interior environment. This thing has a knockout interior for the class. All normal touchpoints have a certain polish and refinement that is mostly lacking in the class. The exterior design is very nice and seems to punch above the norm in this class. I can see why I see so many of these in my area. I am glad that Mitsubishi make a strong comeback with this vehicle. I got the Black Edition, that comes standard with the Sunroof though lacks the leather seats, 2nd row heated seats, and the 360 Camera system. But it came with all the stuff I wanted, though I had to add the roof rails the SEL Comes standard with, that was probably as expensive as the Sunroof option lol. Love this car!

SEL Touring comes with the sun roof as well.

Awesome video! Mitsubishi just don't do only vehicles. They do so many things engine, CVT, train, air plane, petroliuem, Chemical solution, industrial infrastructure, food agriculture etc list goes on. One of the huge corporation. Mitsubishi vehicles are really good and last long. Lot of people don't think or don't know much or don't like old design so they don't buy. If you want a reliable vehicle buy Mitsubishi and best warranty out there. It's a prestige to drive Mitsubishi.

Mitsu and Nissan both use Jatco CVT's, they're probably identical to what nissan offers but with Mitsubishi programming. They're questionable transmissions. The worst case I seen was an outlander having the transmission fail before they even had a chance to refuel for the first time. Maintenance is key on these as they rack up miles.

Fine review as always. Thank you. I would recommend not getting caught into prolonging artificially the videos for keeping viewers for a longer time. You don't need that Sofyan. Sixteen to 17 minute videos is right on the spot, just a little editing is needed. Happy holidays and best wishes to all viewers and followers!!!

I think Mitsubishi's collaboration with Nissan definitely helped them with this vehicle~ Interior looks a lot better, overall, I think Mitsubishi is going in the right direction~ Definitely looks very Nissan Pathfinder like, especially the new one, but the new Nissan Pathfinder is definitely pretty good, so no complaints.

For 2023 model year the Mitsubishi PHEV is substantially upgraded with 40% increased power in both the front and rear motors and 40% increase in overall battery capacity as well for the plug-in hybrid Mitsubishi Outlander. 2.4 liter DOHC I4 has also been revamped to further expand the improvements Mitsubishi made for this do-everything crossover. Overall HP is now a stout 221hp and while I look forward to hearing the PHEV fuel economy ratings I’m pleased to inform you that 26.4 combined MPG was achieved by Edmunds on a mixed evaluation loop totaling about 100 miles. So 2023 ushers in a Japanese COMPACT, 3-ROW, PLUG-IN Hybrid (w/ EV mode) which is estimated to achieve 33 miles of all-electric range for the updated electric power train in the PHEV Outlander if one were to increase the EPA Rated range of the 2022 M.Y. Outlander PHEV. This is all looking very good.

I remember when Mitsubishi excelled at two types of vehicles, performance oriented street vehicles, and serious off-road vehicles. Now, at least in the US market, they are marketing family friendly vehicles. That is a crowded market and no matter how well they design and build they are up against Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and Kia. Even US automakers are in that market. Chrysler figured out the other route and builds performance street and off-road with Dodge and Jeep, plus nice line of RAM trucks.
@keyner1113 жыл бұрын
I really like what they did with it. It looks really nice especially the interior with that black and orange accents.

If this truck had a V6 engine with a 8AT, I would have been sold, and if mitsubishi is coming back, I'm happy af. Montero, Raider pick up, maybe a Diamante Cross like to compete with the range, ralliart inspired models, and I want a body on frame actual SUV. Mitsubishi v6 engines were good back then FTO, 3000GT v6 engines, we need all hands on deck.

Nissan should have given us the option of having the third row five seats is quite adequate with the larger cargo space this is a very handsome vehicle in and out just the third row should be optional.

Mitsubishi really wasn’t joking with this thing. The engine definitely needs some more power and not having interior LED lightning is kinda a cheap thing to skip. Most importantly, what is up with those 3rd row headrests. Why are they so tall?? I just picture baby giraffes sitting back there.
@mauricehill19113 жыл бұрын

@brynnleahnayvieghlaykynnn61753 жыл бұрын
The headrests are tall for safety since the seats are so small they have tall headrests to take place of the seat and so you aren’t as fucked in an accident it’s really just the packaging tho they had to do that so the 3rd row could fold down
