Picked up the 2023 model after doing extensive research on your channel can't wait to let it rip on the kiwi slopes. picked up the 155 for my 7.5 boots 76 Kg self and from what i can tell it should do me well size wise. this makes me really want to ride it to understand what you mean about engaging up front as usual feels strange but when you drive it into the back foot is makes more sense.

Damn I bought this as my first board and I like free riding but I also like the park and want to advance my rail skills this year, don’t really have no other choice gonna have to use It in the park

I was wondering what happened to jibbing section then later on Avran says "don't waste your time in the park," it all makes sense! Yay critical thinking! Not sniffing all the glue has paid off!

I bought a ride smoke screen this year my first year snowboarding and the first snowboard i ever bought its fun and like you said it loads up nice and pops well. Great board i bought it on a wim and knowing what i know now i wish i wouldve got a twin thats a little more playful. I ride east coast im 6’6 215lbs i like ripping around and doing side hits and little spins . I was thinking of getting a t rice pro wide or something similar next year what would you recommend?! Aggressive first board. I'd say maybe look at the Ride Twinpig if you wanted a twin otherwise check out the Gnu Headspace, Rome Agent, Capita Indoor Survival.

For whatever reason the ride boards are only ones that aren’t sold out in my size locally, was between smokescreen and algorithm, I don’t regret the algorithm it’s working out for me as described in old review. Not sure if meet rad dad description, but mid 30s guy with a family who likes to ride loose and fast.

@@rogersmith1470 Yeah, as good as a board it was made out the be and reviewed by Angry, somehow Ride's board aren't that popular and seldom sold out... I guess its all about marketing and uneducated people. They should get educated by Angry haha.

I found the 22/23 version at an affordable price, the only available option is 158cm. I am intermediate, 6" 158lbs boot sz 10.5 and would use it mainly on groomers. Should I buy it or should i look for the 155 even if it costs more?

@@AngrySnowboarder not in person... But I have looked at their descriptions. I'm a progressing rider and do want to learn how to ride a camber board. I think I'm mostly gonna spend time on groomers but want to have the option to go to the park and maybe a little bit of powder riding when the opportunity arises. I was deciding between the k2 broadcast, endeavor live and ride smokescreen. I think I'm settling on the k2 broadcast as it seems to be a little bit more forgiving, very versatile and in my area at the best price point. Curious about your thoughts though?

Hey avran, went to a shop today in winter park and manager was complaining about ride capping their sidewalls and calling them “slimwalls.” He said it’s a cheaper way of producing the board and he said it ruins turn initiation and can cause you to more easily catch an edge. Is there any truth to this?
