This car review was just about the right length & makes me feel positive about the model tested.

Got my 1.5 tsi DSG Karoq Sport-line and first ever Škoda three weeks ago after 30 years of various VW’s and I’m blown away by the build and finish quality. Ride quality is excellent on 19” wheels, fuel economy is in low 40’s mpg, which is comparable to my old T-roc with same engine/transmission, which was a lighter smaller car. Cabin comfort is plush and cosseting.

Hi. Are you really getting that mpg? Unless it kilometres? I have the 1.5tsi dsg sportline , picked up new a few months ago and disappointed with the miles per gallon. Used to and from work, mostly on dual carriageway 15 miles each way. I’m getting approx 30mpg on normal driving mode, I’m fairly sensible and don’t drive like a mad person. Do you know if the eco mode helps? Also cylinder deactivation , that supposed to switch off 2 cylinders at times, I don’t know if that’s happening..I don’t see the eco symbol anywhere… Other than that I quite like it, bit more scratchy plastic inside than I’d prefer. Cheers😀

@@Tomster414 after 9 months average mpg is in high 30’s I never use eco as I don’t like the coasting feature which still uses petroleum to keep engine ticking over. I don’t find any difference between sport and standard either.
@Tomster414 Жыл бұрын
@@paulg4213 thanks for that. Do you get any notification if the cylinder deactivation takes place?

I have just ordered my third new Karoq, the reason for ordering is the crazy trade in offers for my existing car (previous one as well) . First one was a 1 lt TSI second 1.5tsi, going back to the 1 lt this time. Personally wouldn't hesitate in recommending these cars, in fact my son in-law now owns one as well. Fantastic build quality, well priced and some nice wee features. As Skoda says " simply clever". Thanks for a great review.

Im going to order my second only problem i had was the wipers after putting her through the car wash was the rubber scrapped over the window they never looked to a just it just gave me knew wipers i was told the wax they use in the car wash could be the problem but other makes it never bothers them there a good car why the heck did car manufacturers take out the CD player like you should have the choice to play your own music.

i bought this car just after it was released in the uk , i bought the sportline with 1.5 tsi and dsg box . had for about 4 months now , traded my superb sportline 272 and wifes fabia in as retired and only need one car . much cheaper to run in this present time , in some ways rides better than the superb which had 19 inch wheels ... had no problem with it and having had many skodas sure i won't , superb i bought nearly new and owned for 3 years and only time i had to take it back was when glove box would not shut .... did look at the ateca thought as same car , like with skodas in uk you get 3 years break down cover but audi , vw , and think seat its only one year , skoda has more comfy ride as ateca fr is firmer and does not have electric kick tail gate . the matrix light are superb ... its a well made car and nice size of not too small or big , would definatly recommend even after stepping out of top of range superb ..... just dont overtake as much now as dont have 272 bhp under my foot so maybe thats a good thing ...

Happy with my 2023 Karoq but I miss not being able to play my C.D.’s and would have liked to have had the option on the digital dash of showing both the traditional type of speedo and rev counter together rather than just one or the other.

Nice video..What do you recommend....New Karoq Face Lift 1.5 TSI u Style or Jeep Compas 1.5 MHEV DCT 4X2 130KS + 20KS(15KW) LIMITED?. Compass is little expensive but it is not important...

Do you already made a choice? I would go with Karoq - better engine work with transmission (compass gearbox can be laggy when driving more active). Also in my country Skoda keeps value better.

Thanks! The Karoq is a little more practical inside. There's not a great deal to separate the two engines, but the Skoda is good as an auto.

My friend is going to test drive the automatic version of this car. she is a Motability customer as she is disabled. Now, I know this might be a typical "how long is a piece of string question" but she needs a hoist fitting and room for her electric 3 wheeled scooter in the boot. Can you see this being a problem? Nice review by the way, some go on for nearly an hour! but you summed it up very nicely.
@CompletecarIe2 жыл бұрын
The boot space should be sufficient enough of they're suggesting/considering this car. We've seen plenty of neat installations of hoists etc for this purpose. Thanks for the kind feedback on the review too, be sure to look at some of our other ones!

Is there any option with plug-in hybrid?
@CompletecarIe2 жыл бұрын
No, which is a shame because there are other models in the segment that now offer a PHEV option, such as the Volkswagen Tiguan.

I love reviews, but why do you always have to review the top of the range models, when most people will buy the mid range.
@CompletecarIe2 жыл бұрын
That's a very good point. Typically the cars that we get to drive at a launch event are the highest specification to showcase everything that is available with the car. When we attend these events we can only use the cars that are present.

There's plenty of electric options, including the enyaq. too many electric cars too soon and the country will grind to a halt due to lack of charging facilities. Plus, we all know that electric cars aren't as clean as they would have us believe. Karoq is a great car. Had one for the last 3 years, and have a new one coming in a week of two. Says it all.
