Messi had a massive injury around 2013, if I remember correctly he was out for like 4 months, it also robbed him of about half his pace, he used to be as fast as Ronaldo, but there is a reason Messi slowed down hard and Ronaldo still bombed down the wings man. People forget that it seemed like Messi might accumulate injuries like R9 and have to retire. Ronaldos biggest injury kept him out for 10 games, Messi missed 18 games with one injury and 19 games with another.

@@machiel5888 nice use of inflated numbers, first off there was 6000 migrants who died but not just due to on site deaths but this included factors like heart attacks in their own dwellings. 3 workers died on the stadiums btw, which is actually less than individually the last 3 world cups. Also that death rate is a downward trend and the migrants mostly agree to these conditions as most of them earn far more than they would in their own nation. You should be focused on the impressive infrastructure and development of Qatar since 2007 and how much they’ve managed to build during that period, of course people are going to unfortunately die when there’s so many projects being done. There are definitely safety breaches and worker exploitation but it has got significantly better than 15 years ago

After that the individual plays from Mbappé started to shine. I was rooting for France, but even though I hate Argentina, Messi is one of my top three favorite players.
