Many think that it's Ohtani fault or could have traded him sooner before the free agent. But do you know that whilst Shohei kept on improving & consistently doing both jobs at the elite level without the balance of rest days and complaints; the management couldn't bring new best players that work harmoniously to improve their team's performances because they have players who are earning the high salaries that choke/paralyze them? The worst part is when the high-earning players get injured. Even though Shohei had injuries, he desired to recover fast ASAP so he could help his team. He doesn't even have enough rest days and badly desires to win for the team and their supporters. But, what can you do if the organization is consistently being complacent? To all those who are still bitter that Shohei moved to The Dodgers (they have been trying to recruit him when he was 10), you should stop thinking and feeling that 'cause it's a sign of an unhealthy mind. You should be happy for someone to advance his career. After all, he did his best for the Angels even though his salary was not much for someone who brought profits to the organization. Shohei never and will never be badmouth the Angels. Remember, he was the one who chose the Angels intentionally and he did his work exceptionally. Let go, Shohei, and send him with a grateful heart.

This is the worst team I have ever seen, even worse than the 90 loss one from a few years ago. All these signings and at the end of the year they’re gone, I been knowing Ohtani was gonna leave, management knew the time was running out and they didn’t care even when he said he wants to win. This team enters 2024 as the least improved team that a 100 loss season ain’t that far out. All Moreno cared about was the money that came in. If the fans stopped attending games, he would’ve sold the team already. I’m a die hard fan and lately I’ve stopped caring because this teams doesn’t give a reason to make fans even care. Whose jersey will you see more apart from Trout this year?? Fans need to stop attending games and that itself will be a clear message to Moreno, even so what reason do fans have to even attend games anymore, Ohtani is gone, the team is nothing but random players who aren’t developed yet, and guaranteed Trout won’t play the full season, I’m not even gonna mention Rendon. My only small faith is Ron Washington, but then again look at all the managers that have come and gone since Mike left. This franchise won’t see a winning season until passed 2027 and won’t see the playoffs until deep into the 2030’s and that’s the sad reality. There’s no leadership from anyone.

There is absolutely no way you can convince me that their second half of 2023 was going to miraculously produce a different outcome than their last 10 years, half with Ohtani and half without. I was rooting for them after the decision to not sell Ohtani, but they should have sold Ohtani. Angels having one of the worst farm system and couldnt develop players consistently to help the depths of the team is mainly the main reason why they just couldnt compete. Arte Moreno isnt interested to develop and instead perry pinching in some areas (esp coaching and minor league system) and spent the money for aging players was certainly a choice. Its easy to say that on opening and at least until June that they're not bad team (esp if either Trout or Ohtani is healthy) but after that their lineup is 75% consist of SaltBees ft Trash Pandas, and they're not that good either. They even need to draft more college-ready-to-play player like Neto and Schanuel because they need they to stand as major leaguer asap, but also the lack of trust to develop. Couple of report also mentioned that they dont want to hire some coachs and scouts. Couldnt see how they can be better moving forward as long as Arte still be their owner. As Ohtani fan first, following angels was never easy. Its entertaining. Awful. But sometimes good. Good bless for them, the fans deserves better. But unfortunately it’s just infuriating to look at them and yell stop trading pitching prospects. Former examples of prospects traded that have had decent careers include as following: Patrick Corbin, Mike Clevinger, Will Smith (relief pitcher), Tyler Skaggs, and unfortunately the list goes on if you really look. So the trading of more pitching prospects that resulted into the 2023 disaster, I laugh in their faces because of the joke their franchise is. It is an utter embarrassment and infuriating to have Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani on the same team and they can’t accomplish shit because of the mess around them. As an Angels fan, i am predicting they lose 120 games this season for one of the worst seasons in MLB History

Another video that just chooses to continue to shit on the Angels without delving into the real issues with the Angels. Blaming the FO is the easy cop out way to point out the Angels downfalls. Do more research and you'll find that the Angels, much like the A's are the result of a cheap, greedy owner. While the A's refuse to play their players, the Angels refuse to pay for good coaching, development, scouting, minor league player treatment, saber matricians, and player research. The FO is working with what they have while under the pressure of owner who refuses to spend money in a just important aspect of an MLB team, but still wants results.

Why do people feel sorry for Mike Trout. He knew this was the likely outcome when he resigned there.

Suarez was dogshit. His stint on the IL was made up because they didn’t want to play him as he was awful.
