The Country Music Awards are a different bit of territory for HauteLeMode, but I couldn't be happier to discuss the red carpet for the coveted event. While I might not be the most country-centric person to discuss the fashion from the event, I still think it's always fun to see what's cooking in the land of guitars and cowboy hats!

You are the epitome of polite, so as a woman of large size, I will say this to whoever convinced Danica Hart that that was the dress for her. Support garments. When you are a person of size, the most important thing to wear to look balanced and gain confidence are good foundation garments. If they had started with a foundation that gave structure to her curves, and built a dress around that, she would have been va-va voom! I agree with your assessment of the Zac Posen dress- the structure and effort that went into the design! Kudos to that team, that was a lot of work.

So true about the maths and the engineering that can go into making and designing garments! That Zac Posen blue gown could've been a boring bustier with a few panels, darts and boning (still not easy to sew from scratch), but they made it textured and interesting by adding all those asymmetrical tiny panels and seams, and a lot of work would've gone into that!! As far as 'mermaid' cut dresses go, that's how you do it and make it cute!

3:31 As someone born and raised in Reno, NV, this jacket is a Las Vegas/mariachi/southern Arizona thing with zero Reno. I see the connection, but they don't have interesting fashion in Reno. It's Northface fleece, Tapout tees, Levi jeans, a long beard that only covers the chin, and a small flask plastic flask of vodka peaking out of a flannel pocket. It's like if Portland and the Bay had a love child who got addicted to meth and fentanyl for a while before cleaning up and getting a trade school degree. Love that jacket though, it looks like it belongs in a shotgun wedding where the shotgun is covered in rhinestones.

Too many people judge country stars as bunch of intolerant hicks, and while of course they have their bad seeds, in reality they are a diverse group of folks just like all genres. (Also re: the Brothers Osborne: T.J. is gay! So methinks he'd have no issue with you lol) Edited to add: I'd LOVE to see you critique the performance looks from the CMAs.
