Love my ST Tall, I'm 6ft1 so I had to set it up for me with forward controls and mini floorboards, taller windshield and a seat off a stock 18' Lowrider. Also use a detachable chopped tour pack on a rack that fits a Sportglide. The perfect bike for me now as an aging biker who likes lighter bikes now.

I am 6 foot and love the Mids on my 2022 FXLRST, I came off of 08 roadglide, I don’t miss it. I hit 117 mph this weekend and it was still pulling hard! Yeah baby!

I own a RGS and a LowRiderST.....At 6'2" once I put on taller risers, taller windshield, whiplash seat, different foot pegs and a crash bar I can use as highway pegs, . I have to say that the LRST is my favorite bike Ive ever owned...It will never replace my RGS for 2 up cross country riding but man it is a amazing bike

I’m 5”7. The bike fits perfect. Bike will definitely be to cramped for a tall rider. Coming back fro Ducatis, this is the best bike I have owned so far, it does it all. I do wish it came with analog rpm gauge. The bags are big enough for a weekend trip, suspension,brakes and handling are awesome, I wish the front tire would be wider and not 19inch wheel( for better tire selection). The speaker system sounds amazing and the Bluetooth works great!I use 20$ Bluetooth controller on the handlebar to change songs and lower the volume and it works great! The fairing works well but its not as good as road glide or street glide fairing. I did order a clearview windshield which is about 2.5inch taller to help with wind deflection at speeds over 80mph. If you below 6ft and don’t wanna ride 900lbs bagger, this is the perfect bike, go for it.

I'm only 5'10" and it was knees in my armpits and up on the air cleaner for my test ride. I still really liked it and might buy one! (Of course swapping to forward controls and a flatter cleaner!). Great vid as always, thanks!

Thank you Sir for a great review and excellent video. I have had many Harleys including an FXRS Superglide, a Dyna Lowrider and a Streetglide. This ST seems to be a culmination of all that is good from those previous models. Harley hit this one out of the park. I can't wait to get one.

Tall, if I was to buy a Harley, that would be the one. Holy Shift added forward controls, a different seat, bar risers, and higher windscreen to his and loves it now. I'll stick with my Honda CTX700 though. It has forward controls, a Corbin seat, DCT, and weighs 490 lbs. Just right for an old biker like me.👍🏾

I put the taller windscreen on it and the tall boy seat. It made a big difference for me and you do want to ride it in a spirted fashion. I also put 15 inche Arlin Ness rotors on it and increased braking a lot.

All Harleys are cool and worth taking for a ride. Being six2, I've always felt too tall for a Harley. Fortunately, modification makes it possible to ride in comfort but sometimes you don't need comfort if you just want to wring it out, eh brother.

When you said “If I put a cam in here and a good tune? I’ll pull up on anybody” Couldn’t be more true. I have my Lowrider ST setup with those exact upgrades (plus a pipe) and it’s putting out 126 HP & 135 ft lbs of torque. The pipe made it better. The cam took it to another level though.

I like my 2017 street glide special, as I did my 2008 road king before that. But truth be told my highway bike is my 2016 Honda Goldwing for a lot of obvious reasons. HD needs to start producing full counter balanced & liquid cooled motorcycles with all the technology that comes with it. HD has it with the Revolution Max platform but HD is using a delay tactic for whatever reason. Overly labor intensive hot air cooled engines with pushrods and a large primary chain in oil is old 1940s/1950s technology. Indian baggers are in my area on par with Harley Davidson for the above reasons which had caught my eye as well. My HD is mostly a status bike for short hops and bike nights.

I picked up the 21 FXLRS and I can say it's so much fun. I bet the 117 is even better. I am contemplating a cam and a tune, but for now I am going with a full exhaust and a tuner until I can muster the coin for the rest. It's a great compliment for my road glide. Take care!

I have the S version of this .... I've changed the exhaust to a V&H high output exhaust and a set of forwards control's on it. You think the bike is good do that and becomes a AWESOME BIKE. Coming from sports bike, this bike is like someone at Harley-Davidson said let's build a bike for this guy .... and he nailed it ..... have now sold my honda fireblade and my yamaha R1, as they don't get used lol

I bought a Low Rider S last March and loved it. However, a few months later, I had some things go wrong at the house which needed repaired. I didn’t want to borrow the money to fix things and didn’t have enough in the savings due to buying that bike. So, I sold the bike. It wasn’t my only bike and I was able to keep the other. The S was a blast. The ST would probably be an even better fit for me. Maybe I can pull the money together someday.

I love my Lowrider ST. Being 6 foot tall it's a little cramped for me as well! I've had a forward control kit on order for it since April of 2022, i installed a bungking crash bar for now so i can stretch out every now and then until the forward control kit finally (if ever) comes in.

I have been on the fence about this bike for several months. I have a 2010 Street Glide CVO and a Softail Slim S in olive gold. Will never get rid of the softail. That said, I am looking at something smaller for touring. I have toured the softail but a 117 you have my attention. At 5'6" that Street glide is a lot of bike. I refuse to lower it because I don't mess with suspension. I may have to test ride one..

All it would take for you is a set of pullback risers turned the opposite way and a forward control kit. I don't know what kind of tall rider seat the options might be available for that bike. But I love you to start a series building one of those lowrider STs with a cam. So go ahead and buy it for me. 😉

You may be on to something here. Power to weight is always a consideration. All your comfort changes would be spot on, for someone of your height. But the only thing I would add to the power side of things besides the cam is the best 2 into 1 exhaust I could find. As it is common knowledge, that any dual system robs power & is not as efficient as 2 into 1. I'd be interested in seeing a comparison between this bike & a 116 Indian Chief ? Keep it going & I'll keep watching

I'm 6' and I love my ST. I went with the sadleman SD customs seat and that moves you back a bit, and use the bun king crash bars for extended foot position when I'm out on the highway bike is amazing power is amazing. At some point I will do a Cam, but the reality is it doesn't really need it. But? If you really want to get crazy you can just go ahead and cam it and tune it, and it'll be at a different level.

If you put a full aftermarket 2 into 1 exhaust with a legit dyno tune you will be happy. Ad an aftermarket cam to that equation and things just get better🤩 The catted exhaust and “EPA” tune from Harley really neuter the engine from the factory!!! ( including the Screamin Eagle tunes and cams) Just let that 117 breathe and get the fuel it wants and it’s a stout engine with plenty of grunt cammed or not 😎

Couldn’t give up my RGST but sure would like a low rider st as a second bike. Btw the 117 has the best cam Harley offers for the money. Torque cam is the same and power cam only offers slight differences. I’ve been looking into it and found only aftermarket offers good results but you lose that warranty.

I'm only 5-10 but I'm not digging' the hip and knee bends due to the high pegs. The best seat I've ever ridden on was a police pogo seat on an EVO electra glide, because you're up higher and your hips and knees are straighter. If someone sold a tall seat for an ST, I'd bite

That is the ONLY new Harley I'd consider trading in my 2011 dyna street bob for. The problem is I have the 110 tire shredder kit on it so it's already faster and its paid for and the fact I'd pretty much get nothing for the dyna since it's 12 years old already...smh

who would be faster / win would depend on the rider. it may be faster in a straight line. where is the fun in that. There's nothing you can do about the experience of a seasond rider. Would have to get on a road with some dips an twist That's where the real Performance and fun of the bike comes out and can be used be the rider... I took out a Harley with aftermarket stage 2 to my stage 1 both 114 M8s he has no business on a bike with the kinda power it had. be safe do not try and impress ride your ride and be safe.

I’m kinda curious to know what gears you were in on that back road lope road? It sounded like you went from 1st into 2nd gear, then up to third gear only? I know that I ask my buddy if he ever shifts gears, because it seems not to be the case, just kidding. I know that I shift gears up and down constantly. But then I heard you stated to be in fifth gear on the 4 lane highway. What I love about the Harleys is that they seem to work really well when you down shift on the backroads making the engine rpm’s go up by about 1000 rpm’s.

Never learn to ride on the street. Fall off of a dirt bike a few times before playing Russian Roulette. Then, start with a middle weight standard.
