I have an Odyssey Elite and absolutely LOVE IT - the 3.5 V6 and 10 spd A/T work well together, I regularly get over 30mpg in the highway. I really like what Honda has done here. We are currently in the market and The Pilot honestly was not on our radar with the old model but it is now with this refresh. I just wish they would have done a more significant improvement in the infotainment, they had a real opportunity there. Also, if they offered a hybrid or plug in option, they would have knocked it out of the park. Can't wait to see it in the metal in the beginning of the new year.

How many miles are on your odyssey and what year? Have you had issues with it? I have 4 vehicles currently and two are Hondas. A 2016 pilot elite with 138k miles and a 2012 odyssey touring with 255k miles. The pilot has been problematic as I had to have engine replaced at 127k and the AC doesn’t work and they are saying it’s $2500-4000 to fix. The odyssey is in line next to be replaced after I get a new toy but while I like this pilot I wanna wait for the new odyssey. The van drives so much better and feels more spacious and comfortable

The problem with the new accord is that there is no premium engine. There used to be a V6 ( I own one) then there was a 2.0T, and now it's a hybrid 🤦🏻‍♂️. Not a fan. I love the Accord. I've owned mine for 8 years from New but I need the option to drive the top end motor. So that needs to be rectified if I'm to purchase another Accord. I won't buy one with an entry level engine.

I love the interior I’m so glad they got rid of the arm rest in the front on the side of the seats and went with a big bin in the middle. The real captains chairs with arm rest should be an option on the Elite model, or they should have engineered a removable arm rest if you set the middle seat in. Beautiful new design. The interior is definitely nice, however I think it still leaves something to be desired when compared to the telluride or palisade.

Great redesign. Looks great (despite its Traverse-ish looks), it's spacious, has AT LEAST FOR ONCE, a (continuous) panoramic sunroof, full digital gauges. I also like the Trailsport, more rugged, more off-road capable unlike the somewhat lackluster previous-gen. However, I do wish the infotainment would be at least a 10 inch screen since most rivals offer it at that size.

First off, fantastic review. Really detailed, really easy to follow. Is this buy worthy? Yes. But I absolutely wish they'd offer a V6 hybrid for better gas mileage, that they would offer heated and ventilated seats on the Trailsport (with brown leather option), and the Bose system on the Trailsport. It is nearly the perfect mid-size SUV for weekend camping and also daily driver. But I need better MPG. I need 30+ on the highway to feel like I'm getting good value here.

I'm leaning the other way. They are all electronic now. Make them take up as little space as possible. The Outback, for example, has a cramped center. Get rid of the shifter and wasted space around it. I had a dial on a previous vehicle that still allowed tactile and visual confirmation of what you were doing and it was only about 2.5 or 3 inches in diameter in the upper left corner, leaving all the rest open.

I literally just purchased a 2022 Elite Pilot and absolutely love it. Actually, I traded in my 2022 RDX Advanced Aspec for this as there were so many features about the RDX I just did not like mainly the non-touch screen. I also did not like the fact I had to move my center elbow rest back to be able to have 2 cup holders. Lastly the gas milage really sucked which for me was the final straw. Why suffer with a smaller vehicle when I could get a pilot with a v6 with better gas milage and get all the things back that I hated about the RDX. I will say I Honda knocked it out of the park with this new body style but they really need to leave the rear captain's chairs as an option for us empty nesters and put just have an option for the cup holders and storage space. Other than that, inside and out, I really love the 2023 Pilot and hope to purchase one in the near future. As much as I like my gas vehicle it wouldn't hurt to have a hybrid version and for those of us that love power maybe a turbo v6.
