If 30 GMs say we don't want to draft Butler, and then he turns out to be an incredible player, why does it matter where he was drafted Jokic won two MVPs, and he was drafted #41 Embiid wasn't a #1 pick, and he just won MVP Kawhi Leonard was like a #15 pick and the same year Jimmy Butler was a #30 pick, and they've played some amazing basketball (some nights they are the best player on the floor, and arguably the best player in the league) also Wemby hasn't played a minute in the NBA. It's easy for someone to say "well Wemby is a guaranteed hall of famer", but unless they have crystal balls and can see the future

@@justanobody0 When I say the #1 draft wasn't good i mean that the draft class wasnt good for u to have the #1 pick in it. But you are beyond lucky to have the #1 pick in a draft class that has David Robinson then it happens again in a draft class that has Tim Duncan and now a class that has Wemby. Of course there is no guarantee that Wemby will be a great player but u can say the same for every #1 pick ever.

I'm just saying sometimes people say a certain draft is a bad draft class before we've seen any of the players play a minute in the NBA and how everything plays out Sometimes the people picked early don't turn out, and then you get great players later on (who obviously weren't regarded as great prospects by most GMs) In 2014 Clint Capella wasn't picked until 25th pick Bogdan Bogdanovic until 27 Joe Harris until 33 Spencer Dinwiddie until 38 Jerami Grant until 39 *Jokic until 41* Dwight Powell until 45 Jordan Clarkson until 46 all those guys have been considered NBA starter quality, and most still are starters
