So far I haven’t had a lot of time on the R SO, this is slightly harder to answer. But my initial impressions were the V4 is easier to make quick laps on because you can use the torque of the 1103 motor to be slightly lazier. The 1103 is not rough at all, it’s got a huge amount of power on tap but the bike is so so easy to ride.

I had a 22’ V4S and just purchased and received a 23’ V4R. Initially the V4R is setup much stiffer and you feel it transitioning between the two. The V4S makes a lot more torque and you feel that extra pull and power in the low end. The V4R feels like it needs to sit higher in the rpm’s to access the power and it can be slightly trickier on corner exit as you don’t have the torque of the V4S to “cheat” and force the bike to exit when and where you want. The clutch pull is stiffer on the V4R but feels crisper and I actually prefer it. Hope that helps

@@Ducati_Fratelli thank you for your answers i had a v4R 2019 with akrapovic and last year i had V4 SP2 . I completely agree with you. But i found the R more agile or nimble I don’t Know if the new v4 R is much more efficient than the old one … two tiptop bikes

@@mvluca8343 I have noticed that my new V4R feels more nimble but my theory is that the bike just comes with a different suspension setup giving a slightly different feel.

Ok you’ re certainly right… i thought that may be it sas thé fact that the 998 had got les inertia than the 1103…( Titanium connecting rods) or dry Crutch Also 😅

Jumping from 9’s down to 6-7’s is pretty hard. Gotta clean up your lines alittle more. Brake at the bride into t1. Tighter left out of t4 and then tighter to the right side into the carousel, gas to the tree. It’s a fun track but so scary trying to drop time.

Yep I totally agree! I’ll give myself a tad bit of credit my first track day I ever did was 1 year ago so I’m thrilled with the progress I’ve made. Watching my onboards I see a boat load of time able to be made into T1, the kink, and T13 with myself mentally leaving a few percent of reserve on the table that I can take out. The carousel is the part I struggle with the most with for sure. Pretty much any long right hander or slow tight left hand turns are what I need improve on the most across every track.
