Just do the content that honestly reflects you & your joy in gaming, old or contemporary. I have a 8 year backlog of a lot of annual games coming out each year of those 8, I continued buying the games I knew would make me happy once I was in a physical & mental state to savor them, & I supported those companies making the games I love. Sorry to hear about your career changes, I understand more than you can know my friend.

I’ve noticed your steam status changing games lately. 2023 started off great for me and towards the end as I turned 30 became some of the darkest times of my life. I actually had recorded a vlog yesterday with similar feelings that I need to edit. From a personal standpoint we are in the same dilemma.

Dude, we're getting so old! My 30 is coming up this year. I had probably recorded this vlog around 4 times before finally getting something I was happy to upload. I nitpick all these little details that most probably don't mind when they get to watch it. My OCD doesn't help the situation either. Best of luck to you and hang in there!

@@IndustrialGamer We are getting old! yeah, sometimes I hate the way I word things or the way it’s edited so then I redo it too, but I try to keep it raw as well. Hope the both of us find ourselves in a successful year. I will say I don’t keep in touch with my online friends as much anymore but I silently keep tabs!

Cameron: initially left a comment, however i never followed up. I wish you the very best, RE employment. If i was in a position of power in the vidgame industry, I'd hire you in a NYC second, to lead my development studio. Your passion, life-long knowledge of gaming, and your overall outlook regarding the industry, makes you the right man for the job. As far as future channel content, will offer a few points: 1) Regarding *new* releases, i personally don't consider it imperative, to receive a "timely" video from you. I mean, there's enough channels (ACG, Gameranx, MrMatty etc) to piece together a synopsis and cumulative decision, as to buy or not buy, a particular new title. Instead, I'm just satisfied to know your ultimate yea or nay pertaining a particular game, whether that's 2 months or 2 years, down the road. 2) From the perspective of content creator efficiency, perhaps you may wish to return to a format you once utilized. I'm referring to the format in which you completed a video at end of each month, summarizing the specific games you played said month, listing highlights/lowlights of each title. No gameplay footage. Just streamlining your opinions on the 3, 4, or 5 games you played that particular month. You did this a couple years ago (i believe Far Cry 6 and Lost Judgment, were included). Maybe via employing this method, producing videos wouldn't feel like a burden, and be time intensive? You could even include retro titles that you may have enjoyed that particular month. In this way, making an end of the month or bi-monthly video wouldn't entrap and restrict you to newer games, if you're not feeling it. Just a thought. 3) As eluded to at one point, it would be awesome to receive another 8th generation collection video. While i did enjoy your PS4 collection video, Xbox One collection video, and "Best of 8th Gen" video, many 8th gen titles "fell through the cracks" due to the fact you played those titles on PC. If you would consider covering these 8th gen "excluions" in a future video, it would be a welcome video on your fine channel. As always, thank you for the quality content. Take good care. Vin

Hi Vin, Thank you very much for following up and your kind comments! Working in video games will always be my passion but sadly it doesn't seem like the industry is doing too well these days either. I'm keeping positive and hope to have a new opportunity in place very soon! I also appreciate your thoughts and feedback regarding content for newer releases. I can say I have put some more thought into it and when things with work get back on track, I would like to cover a handful of more popular single player releases I missed. I think part of what attributed to my feeling burnt out were doing these longer vlog style reviews, which turned 10-15min reviews into 30-40min vlogs. I've been thinking, instead of doing reviews of almost every game I play I should focus on only covering ones that I really enjoyed and feel are worth doing a video on. Leaving smaller games for livestreams or reminiscing videos in the future. I've been enjoying taking a break from doing reviews and truth be told I haven't played any new games since completing Starfield this past Christmas holiday. Most of my time these days is spent working on videos and playing older games while looking for work. Also, I am considering bringing back the gameplay discussion videos again, in more sporadic form. Instead of making them a regular form of content, I was thinking of using them to discuss larger news pertaining to industry topics such as the recent layoffs, game cancellations and Microsoft exclusivity changes. It'd be a way for me to get some of my thoughts out more directly rather than passively mentioning it during livestreams or other videos. Always appreciate your feedback and thank for adding to your initial thoughts. I really means a lot to hear people are interested in the content regardless of timing or form. I guess I was being too hard on myself... Also, thanks for noting your thoughts on the collection videos. I've actually recollected some of my PC purchases on the PS4/XBO and have been quietly recording footage to do reminiscing videos on them in the future as I didn't get to review those games back when they came out. I've also gotten a handful of new PS3/360 games so it may be worth doing a collection update of sorts. I got more stuff planned ahead so plenty to look forward to!
