what a beautiful, clean, console collection :) "I like to keep things stock. OEM. That's the style i like." From your lips, to God's ears. I remember being this way with pretty much every retail product, since purchasing my 1991 Acura Legend Coupe, back in the day. Maybe because i grew up in the car hobby as a kid, and my Dad always kept his cars pristine, original. A handicap/curse.. Contrary to popular opinion, i agree with you on the Xbox One being a very attractive design. I purchased the S, but caved and upgraded to the One X (Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition) partially because i feared the white would "yellow" over time. That said, the standard black Xbox One X (and that Project Scorpio Edition) looks impressive enough on it's own merits, to want to own one. I can't handle the looks of the PS4. LoL. Unfortunately, I'm in the minority, on this one. I regard the original PS3 Slim (black), to be the most beautiful console of all-time. Its basically the only console model, i don't own a limited edition or alternate factory color iteration of, because IMO it's already aesthetically perfect. That said, mine wasn't reliable at all. Like yourself, i "baby" my consoles, and played my launch unit very sparingly. One day it wouldn't recognize or eject a disc, or any discs thereafter. The only thing i may have done wrong, is leaving that same disc in the console over a period of weeks to months? Without ever ejecting it.. Bottomline: I don't trust the build quality of the PS3. With the PS3 Super Slim being a possible exception (no motorized disc tray). Your backwards compatible PS3 model, is a thing of beauty. I know EXACTLY how you feel, in regards to preserving and safe-guarding it. Non-abused units don't come cheap, in addition to the sentimental value it holds for you. The only downside being having to hand it off, if you need to take that route (ie making those capacitor modifications). However, I'm certain you'll make a temporary cabinet switch, before turning it over to a stranger/repair modder. I feel ya, because I had purchased a pristine boxed Net Yaroze (that rare factory black PS1), and ended up returning it via Ebay, because it had somewhat minor laser issues. No way was I going to entrust it to some shop I had no familiarity with. Congrats on that new/open box PSP unit. What a deal! Also, hope work life is picking up. Take care Cam.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting Vin. I agree largely with your points on those console designs, although I did like the launch PS4 model as mentioned. I get anxiety seeing how some of these people treat their consoles/games. I personally know some people who just leave their hardware on the floor in a mess of cables. I guess it's akin to never washing your car. In any case, happy to share this one. Take care!

Great collection 😎👌🏻🎮 I think the most beautiful console is the xbox one schorpio, i also have one whit the original box Sure my ps5 and gaming pc would be faster but i really like how clean it looks and the 4k performance it has for a box of that size

Thanks for watching dude! Ya, Xbox One X looks clean and just wish it got more games to utilize it for that gen. It really did a great job at giving you a 4K experience.

Man I really wish I still had the vintage consoles I had growing up such as the Wii and Xbox 360. The oldest console I have is a PS2 and it's in rough condition because of the dust. I plan on getting vintage consoles because I really want to play old games again.

There's just something special about playing games on original hardware. I only wish I had the foresight when I was younger to take care of my systems more. Appreciate the watch Lloyd!

I noticed no super slim ps3 haha. All jokes aside, is there any chance of a controller collection video some time?
@IndustrialGamer2 ай бұрын
Ya, no super slim here! I used to think the design was so hideous but I think the PS5 Slim is actually worse for me XD Don't have many interesting controllers so not sure how useful that video would be. There was a time where I did consider it though but ultimately decided against it. These days I typically keep two controllers and trade in the oldest as credit against whatever new color scheme I like. Have the Camo and Purple Dualsense and the Remix and Stellar Shift Xbox controllers currently.

When you get that house, are you going to be the closeted collector that hides it all in its own room or are you going to display it out in the open throughout the house.
@IndustrialGamer2 ай бұрын
I definitely want a small little library nook to display games on a shelf by platform. As for the consoles, I'd prefer to keep them in their boxes to prevent dust buildup, I'd likely only display them if they were broken or unusable. The house still needs to be a home so I'm not keen on turning it into a museum. Balance would be important to me.

Whats your opinion on pc handhelds? Would you give them a try as you have had some experience with the steam deck already?😊
@IndustrialGamer2 ай бұрын
I don't personally see a reason for myself to grab the other PC handhelds outside of the Steam Deck. I think it's a really cool emerging market though and could definitely see myself using it more often when I finally build a new PC. Depending on what's happening with Xbox consoles in the future, I may be doing that sooner rather than later.
