Perfect reviews! Could you please tell is the topsheet on ME 23/24 is durable? Heard some cases of a topsheet started to peal off and cracking like an egg shell. Aesthetic but still an issue for a pricy board.

Always dig your reviews Avran, Debating between 54 and 58. Adding to the quiver for a more pow specific slasher. Some resort pow days some backcountry steeps. 6ft 175lbs 9.5 boot. daily driver is a 54 yes Greats.

Hi sir! Rad dad, looking for an all mountain board that is versitile enough to being a lazy turd with the kids from time to time. Mainly explore the whole mountain, trees and capable in powder, but should also be able to carve on a groomer when needed. Rider level is intermediate-advanced and I dont mind a learning curve! I have these boards in mind, but hard to narrow down the list. Any boards you would think are simply better for my described riding: PYL Uninc, Bataleon Thunderstorm, Ride Super pig, Ride Algorythm, Capita Mercury, Rome Stalefish, Ride superpig, YES standard (dont know if uninc or not), and YES Hybrid

I have been riding a never summer instagator but am looking for a new board. Want something thats good in pow, shorter and fast for dense trees but still carves well while im riding between stashes. The mind expander has definitely been on my radar for a while, i have also been looking at the nidecker mosquito, would either of these be a good fit or would you recommend something else? Thanks!

More carving I think the Mosquito is better than the ME. But for pow float and snap the ME beats it. But if you want something in the party board category that covers it all then the Salomon Dancehaul comes to mind.

THANKS FOR YOUR TIPS AND VIDEO. i just got the 2024 158 as i have size 11 boots, still bit narrow on back foot.... im thinking to cut back tail like 2-3 cm and also shape like a half moon orca tail or even a bit more and reinforce wt some fiberglass /carbon annd epoxy after, did it on another board before. and seems to work for turn faster, i figure it will make it more fast turning and slashing in trees and groom and i dont ride switch unless i have to anyway and i dont trick or park, Do you think it would make the board better to ride and slash around in wet coast powder and groom if i remove some tail and put some swallow shape in it? im 6 tall and 154lb also, im thinking to get a 151 2024 Warpig, to ride around mountain and go slash in trees from blue to double black, in sof to heavy powder . i dont do tricks but it seem decent for size 11 boot to ride around vancouver bc wet coast. how would that board compare to mind expander do you think? thanks Mr, Angry

Did it change from last year? On your 2023 review you said that it didn’t resonate so much under foot , and can plow over pretty much anything and it was dump enough. Also butter ability it’s different? It seems that the board change or your opinion change about it … I’m worry that if your not paying attention this board will buck you up badly

I had the passport from last season, was also stuck between the two. They are both labelled "alternative freeride board", which really just means more flexible. The passport to me feels more like all mountain but with some setback. The passport is a decent all around board except on powder day that's over 6 inch. I am getting the ME this season.

I’m debating between the K2 Excavator, Jones Mind Expander and Salomon Dancehaul. I’m looking for something with a good amount of torsional flex so I can rip around in the trees and feel comfortable with being able to swing the tail around quick. But not so much to where it lessens the dampening when flying on groomers. I’m 6’2, 200 lbs, 13 boot, please help 😫

I want to bu this board as I want to think of myself as the slope cruising pow hitting rad old guy. But you can just strike out the last half of that sentence. Destined to ride 90% in short icy slopes, but still just want to cruise down, maybe even posi posi style? Limited selection where I am, so between Jones ME, Bataleon Cruiser and Camel Two (I do have a preferance for looks and ride..). It this board stupid as a daily driver for just turning across the slopes?

Did they change the top sheet material from last years? I got a ME twin and the paint started chipping/bubbling under the bindings after the first ride. Took it to the shop I got it at in Truckee and they had my replacement ready two weeks later which was cool, but still worried the topsheet will start chipping again since it's the same material.

I'm 6'2, 250lbs, 12 size boot, and am looking at the ME 166cm or the Hovercraft 2.0 164c. I have the storm chaser for the deep days but it gets bouncy after the pow gets chopped up. Any thought on what would be a better fit.

I have the 23 ME and it’s super fun. Great in pow and surprisingly enjoyable cruising groomers. I’m a so-so rider and this thing makes me feel way better than I am. Have you ever checked out the Christenson Jones bindings? Wondering if their supposed surfy profile elevates things at all.

Hey Avran, what do you recommend on this deck if needing to shorten stance width just a bit (i.e. moving only one binding). Would you bring the front or back in from reference? The deck already has some decent setback but want to be mindful of the best placement relative to the sidecut. Based on their profile diagram and narrowness of tail, I am leaning toward front foot back. Thanks.
