Mazda is going all-in on premium luxury! At long last, the next chapter of #Mazda design is here with the all-new 2024 #MazdaCX90. The new #CX90 is the first Mazda to ride on their new rear-drive platform and it introduces two new electrified powertrains, including the brand's first-ever #PHEV. Eventually, it will replace the #MazdaCX9 in the lineup.

Its the start of a new really premium era at Mazda and it all begins with this new CX-90, which will eventually spawn a smaller CX-70 with only 2-rows! Mazda was tight lipped on when that vehicle would be introduced, but we're thinking it'll be late this year! And we WILL be driving this car at the end of March with a First Drive video posting in early April! Stay tuned and thanks for watching as always everyone!

I don't like Mazda's front end design. The grille is an oddball shape, it's not uniform and while it's reserved looking, it always makes me think they just created a random shape and decided to run with it.

We just bought a 23 Signature and it is very luxurious. I wanted to wait for this, but it is looking like a $61K price tag and limited supply and I am big Acura MDX fan. $60K is a bit much for a Mazda.

@@cartrack730 ....You made a good choice with the 2023 CX-9 IF you are unwilling to drop 55-60+ for a Mazda SUV. My own 2018 CX-9 stickered at $47K and sold to me for $43K+ tax. I thought that was a LOT back then, now as I purchase this new CX-90 Turbo S PP, I am somewhat scared about committing $19,000 MORE for Mazda's "flagship" vehicle than I did to get their 2018 "flagship" CX-9 Signature. I assume YOU have purchased a 2023 CX-9 Signature for $50,000 + tax? A top spec '24 CX-90 will run me $62,370 + tax (or $67,000 out the door)....yikes. I am hoping for a stunning vehicle.

@@OtisSpringerpilot Trust me, I would love to have the CX90. I have known about the engine for a few years now and was hoping it would have been in the CX9 by now with the bugs worked out, however they changed the whole platform with the new engine. Was certainly time for a refresh. It appears to be wider which is intriguing and could put it on the level of the other luxury brands. I would lay down the money for the CX90, but as I said it is getting into the price range of the MDX Aspec, Lexus MX350 F sport and maybe the BMW X5. The vehicle is going to have to really impress me to pass on the others. We will see, if it impresses me, I will take a look at in a few years. Report back on your impressions. Congrats. BTW, this is our second CX9, we had a 2020 CX9 Grand Touring, we loved it so much we bought another one.

As a inline-6 enthusiasts and owner of a 2JZ engine powered car im very excited for what Mazda has instore in the future for all drivers and automotive enthusiasts. Inline-6 turbocharged engine will be powerful and smooth perfectly balanced layout. Inline-6 engines produce a very distinctive engine induction & exhaust sound a smooth musical note music to the drivers ears. Its been decades 20 years ago since Japanese automakers Toyota & Nissan made their last 2JZ and RB inline-6 engines. This is Mazda gift for all of us a new inline straight 6 combustion engine to enjoy and embrace aging for the very last time before everything becomes all electrification. Thank you Mazda for caring and making the effort to bring back a inline-6 engine from Japan. The wait is finally over, Mazda turn a dream into a reality.

I really think they got the shape right on this SUV. The interior amenities look nice and I actually prefer a dial control for the entertainment system rather than a crappy and cumbersome touchpad. I look forward to the "Living with the CX-90's fabric dash for the past year" so we can see how beautiful it looked new versus how it will look after living with it for a while. I'm more than perplexed why a design element that will receive a lot of hands touching it (beneath the center screen) and airborne contaminants (pollen, dust, etc.) would be made from a fabric that cannot be cleaned.

The CX-9 I test drove last year was pretty sporty very nice interior for Japanese, but tech was a bit long in the tooth and felt claustrophobic space practicality lacking specially the rear. This 1 looks like it fixes those issues especially the sloping rear design and inline 6.

My Mazda experience.. I personally had nothing but trouble with the Mazda 6. With the brand the cars look great, are well designed and are fun to drive but being they aren't as popular on the road as their competitors, when the reliability fails the repairs are more costly and value greatly depreciated. That's where both Honda and Toyota have the advantage.

Think you had a lemon, they are rated right behind toyota/lexus and usually above honda for reliability. We have had two and only had one recall for a wiring harness and zero other issues.

For a flagship Suv that was hyped and delayed several times im not that impressed. The telluride, palisade, pilot, & highlander all have far more interior space for legroom, headroom, & width. While the interior does look premium I still don't get why mazda is clinging to the past with their infotainment screen being so short, & mostly not being touch. The 3rd row seems very claustrophobic with tiny windows, ac vents that are blocked by passengers legs. The trunk seems to lag behind the rest of the pack in terms of space and they should've included power folding rear seats. I'd you're looking for a premium midsized 3 row suv the hyundai palisade calligraphy seems to easily beat the cx90. I'm sure the drive is better on the cx90 but overall the palisade seems like a better choice and probably a little less expensive as well.

After getting very excited after watching the unboxing videos, I'm a little underwhelmed! Something in the design looks a bit off. Maybe it's the back, but the CX60 looked better to me. Maybe the CX70 will as well. Also while the interior is certainly premium in terms of the design and materials, I still struggle with the car having the same old infotainment system. Would have thought with this upmarket play with the inline 6 and all, they would commission a redesign of that system. Screen size is ok but having seen that software for the past 5 years or so, it sort of cheapens the whole thing for me.

Will always disagree with the feedback on Mazda moving to touchscreen. With minimal ramp the command center is incredibly intuitive, and their utilization of tactile buttons and commands should be celebrated. Particularly in larger, family moving cars like this where not needing to navigate clunky UI and imprecise controls makes for a safer ride.
