Agreed. Players who have their legacies secure: 1. LeBron 2. Curry While I want Curry to win his fifth ring, this is the end of the list. Giannis still has years to go (he's still in his prime, can win more) and needs to prove he can win as COVID is over and a lot of players entered health and safety protocols in the Bucks' championship run, Kawhi has to prove his health and availability, KD needs to prove he can win without Steph (but even if the Suns win, there will still be an asterisk because he joined Devin Booker and elite scorer and all-star Bradley Beal). Jokic still has years to go (no asterisk for his recent title). Embiid needs to prove why he deserved the MVP.

As a Lakers fan, we *need* to lock in this season. This season is our last real chance at another championship since we don't have any picks until 2029, so winning isn't just a priority it's a necessity. It's a good thing that management made sure the team is well constructed and under manageable contracts, though I am a little worried about the new load management rule regarding stars and national TV games as I think this hurts LeBron and especially Anthony Davis more than any other pair in the league. So, our role players need to be willing to step up in big moments and be a balanced team.

I want the Warriors to win this year before the core break up, but I think Klay's contract will be renewed with the Warriors. Curry winning his 3rd MVP, 5th ring and second FMVP would cement him in top 10 all time (he's top 10 already in my books but not everyone puts him in top 10 all time). Hot take finals prediction: Lakers vs Miami, the bubble rematch. If there's one thing we learn every season, is that the preseason champions are almost always not the NBA champions at the end of the season. Nuggets vs Bucks is what we're all expecting, but no season is perfect. Injuries, close games, upsets, etc are all factors that change our expectations. The only time the NBA was very predictable recently was that mid-2010's era of LeBron vs the Golden State dynasty.

Miami lost Gabe vincent, A key figure in their playoff run last year, and didn't really get anybody in the meantime besides Jaquez while the majority of other teams have added a lot to their rosters. It also seems as though Butler hasn't been holding up to the numbers he put up early in the playoffs. I doubt Miami will make it to finals this year.
