I feel like embiid doesn't get the criticism he deserves. The fact that he goes from 27 PPG to 24 PPG 50% from the field to 46% from the field and have failed to show up in several series and never make it out of the 2nd round, it still amazes me how there's always something to scapegoat him out of criticism.

I mentioned this in a jmxy high roller video I think but usually the first options on a team don’t get as much criticism as they deserve until all the options run out or they are extremely profitable for the media to talk about. @kingdeedee Жыл бұрын
@@wilfredoluna6192 I disagree there. I think his 2021 run has since been moreso labelled as a 76ers failure rather than a Trae Young accomplishment. Even looking back nobody actually believed he should've been in the conference finals. That's been further validated by that fact that he's gotten bounced in the first round both times afterwards. He got absolutely destroyed on both ends by my Heat in 22 (if you're a big Trae fan I advise you don't look at his numbers in that series), and even though the recent Boston series had some moments, it was still a 1st round exit where he shot 33% from 3. Outside of that though, his shot selection is still questionable, he's still the worst defender in the league and recently he's had this whole Team USA situation where it's become clear that both players and coaches around the league don't respect his game (AM Hoops recently made a great video discussing this). I'm not a Trae Young hater (those only exist in New York after all), and I'm not even gonna say I necessarily think all his critics are right about him, but that's just the perception around him right now which is why I think he should be in this video

@kingdeedee I dont think he’s really criticized, but he’s definitely overlooked as a player. With his numbers youd expect him to be a perennial allstar. His teams have never really been that good so they arent expected to do much in the playoffs, especially when they have to play the #1 seed heat and a stacked celtics squad. To his credit though, hes led his team to a conference final, which is better than what embiid has been able to do with much better teams.

@@kingdeedee I don’t think it was the 76ers failures honestly, it was literally just Ben Simmons, lol Ben Simmons wasn’t doing good that playoff run, but the 76ers have even proven to choke without Simmons, so honestly they have no one to blame, this is the 76ers over and over again every year. I think we can all agree that Zion Williamson, Ja Morant & Ben Simmons' criticisms are pretty self-inflicted. Nobody put that gun in Ja's hand but himself, nobody put all that food in Zion's mouth but himself and Ben Simmons seemingly regressed by his own accord. To some extent this is true with Kyrie Irving as he chose to sit out those games and post that tweet, but it wasn't all his fault that Dallas was terrible last season. And James Harden has destroyed his own reputation long before the Philly trade, so does that even matter anymore? KD has an MVP, 2 rings and 2 Finals MVP's, so at the end of the day what can you really criticize him for? And we all knew Joel Embiid couldn't play it all out in Philly anyway.

Imo Harden’s criticism is COMPLETELY warranted every single time he’s made the playoffs he’s lost because of a choke job, the only time you can cut him slack was in 2018 because if CP3 was healthy the rockets would be 2018 champs, and 2021 where he was injured but other than that since 2012 when he’s been eliminated from the playoffs it was because he choked and it’s not even like he had no good players, he had a still star player Dwight Howard, CP3, Russel Westbrook and his infamous Kyrie and KD superteam he was a part of and still no ring to show for it.
