I just bought a 2024 Sentra SV, I’ve been driving for two weeks now, my first impression is that it’s a great little car, it’s spacious, very quiet in normal driving conditions, it handles the road very well, the interior it’s very nice, the engine power it’s very good, it’s not a sport car but definitely it’s a very quick little car, very fun car to drive, and the gas mileage could be great but I’m getting only around 21mpg on the city because it’s so hard not to accelerate, I can tell that Nissan can easily make this car into a sport cart just by adding a turbo, the platform of this car it’s very balanced and stable definitely a sport car platform. I look into a Toyota Corolla before I buy this car but the interior it looks much better on the Nissan Sentra and the extended warranty of 10 years or 100,000 miles was included in this car at no extra cost.

Back in August I started looking for a new smaller good mpg car and I drove the versa, sentra, corolla, forte, and the elantra. I liked the Sentra the best out of them all so I rented one for two weeks to go on a longer trip with and I got an incredible 45 MPG with the adaptive cruise control set to 70 mph the whole way. With the 12.4 gal tank, that is some great range! Drives great for a little economy car and was really comfortable too. I know Nissan has some blemishes in its reputation from recent years, but I am hoping that they are back on the up and up. Two days ago I got a great deal on one of the last 2024 Sentra SR's on the lot and I love it so far. I also agree with you that the Altima was just so-so. Auto start stop has to meet certain conditions to function. If your hvac is set to heat or cool the car and it hasn't reached the desired temp the car will always run, if the battery is in a semi low voltage state it will also run to charge it.

Was odd, I’ve never driven a car that I remember with auto start stop engaged not using it and then at totally random times without changing settings would. Must’ve been some kind of guideline In The system that wasn’t met. I personally hate auto start stop anyways, especially if it locks the steering wheel when it cuts engine off

my '23 SV rental was a very livable little car but fairly big on the inside. the seats were flat and tolerable for long trips, needed more lumbar support though. the ride quality was decent over most roads but choppy on segmented pavement or lumpy pavement. road noise was very well suppressed for this class of car, even coarse pavement was filtered out well. wind noise was moderate. overall NVH was pretty good considering the price. the only question mark is the durability of the CVT over time, if it could make it over the 100k mark or not without an overhaul.
