Would you choose S, SV, SR, or a Premium Package on the SV and SR? Thanks for watching and Subscribing to AutoJeff Reviews. Jeff

I would definitely go for the SR top trim with the Premium Package. I almost purchased a 2024 Nissan Sentra SR Premium in October 2023 but instead went with a new Kicks that day. I purchased a brand new 2023 Nissan Kicks SR with the Premium Package. For $1,390.00 on my Kicks the Premium Package added the 8 Speaker Bose Personal Audio System With Amplifier, Full Security System, Gray & Black Primatex Leatherette Seating With Orange Stitching, Full Solid Cargo Cover, Heated Front Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, NissanConnect® Services powered by Sirius XM® and NissanConnect® with Wi-Fi Hotspot+. For 2025 they fully redesigned the Kicks and after that new model has been out for a couple years I would possibly purchase it once all the bugs of the all new model are worked out. The good thing is they used a time tested and proven engine in the Kicks that has been used in the Sentra for several years as long as the Rogue Sport until it was discontinued. I also looked at a Sentra when I purchased my Kicks. It was a 2024 Nissan Sentra SR with the Premium Package. It was sharp and was the Atlantic Gray Pearl with Black Roof. It was like $28,500.00 fully loaded and optioned out and my Kicks was $26,130.00 fully loaded and optioned out. The only issue I had with the Sentra was how low it sat and how loud the sporty tires were on the SR. The ride was very good though and the car was premium inside out. Im glad Nissan seems to plan on keeping the Sentra around as their only Sedan. The Nissan Versa will be cancelled after 2025 and I believe the Nissan Altima is set to be cancelled in 2026 or after 2026. It’s a shame inexpensive sub $20,000.00 cars are going away. I have owned 3 Mitsubishi Mirages all purchased new and all top trims. I had a 2015 Mirage Hatch, 2017 Mirage G4 Sedan, and 2021 Mirage Hatch and they were great vehicles and did not deserve the hate they got. The Mirages were all trouble free, super fuel efficient almost hybrid level mpgs, cheap to own and run, had tons of features even push button start, heated seats, led head and tail lights, and more (top trim Mirage SE), had a 10 year warranty and did everything any other car can do. Its just a shame cars are getting so expensive for people and small cars are going away when some people like myself like smaller vehicles but loaded up with features. The Mitsubishi Mirage and Nissan Versa offer that. Even the new 2025 Nissan Kicks has went up several thousand dollars for its top trim loaded SR Premium. I mean it makes sense as the fully loaded one can now be equipped with a panoramic roof, AWD, pro pilot assist, 19 inch wheels, a bigger engine with more power, some more features and upgraded dual 12 inch screens and 10 speakers vs 8. Luckily the base price is almost identical but the fully loaded 2024 Kicks SR Premium seems to be around $3,500.00 to $4,000.00 cheaper than the 2025 Kicks SR Premium but again you do get alot more so it makes sense.

You did a good job; I like the references you used. It made it more enjoyable to watch. Makes me want one, my daughter just bought the S. Nissans are good cars that last. Looking at the SR it has a sporty look to it.

I tell ya bout a good sentra, the 1991-1996 Nissan Sentras would literally drive till they hit 1000000 miles. I remember being in high school in 2007-2008 and my buddy had a 91 with 750,000 miles, a cassette deck, and those seatbelts that slide when you open the door. Then Another friend with a high mileage 94 sentra with a 5 speed manual transmission. Then my brother had an automatic 92 sentra with hand crank windows, cd player in the trunk and it lasted till 2005 when my dad traded it in for him.

$90 for USB cables. Are they high? So one of them has the Wifi hotspot, but the Apple CarPlay is still wired? Glad my Civic Sport Touring comes with all this, except the 360 cam and lumbar. No premium packages.

How you liking your Sentra SR Premium?
@cbarucom23 күн бұрын
Very good review! I am just wondering why the SR trim has lower mpg compared to the other 2. Is it because of the gearing? Or suspension? Thanks
@Derek-pq3zb6 күн бұрын
It’s because the SR has bigger wheels…18 inch. Compared to the other two trims. Hence the difference in MPG

For anyone curious what "SV" stands for, considering the fact that literally no other car brand uses that designation. I researched it.... "Standard Vehicle." Yes, that "S" does not stand for Sport, or Super, or Special. The "V" does not stand for what type of engine you get. (No *V* 6 option on the Sentra.) Nor does it stand for "Variable Valve-timing." Which raises another question. If the SV trim is the Standard Vehicle in the line-up, does that mean the "S" trim is lacking what it should have? You guys can decide that. As for me, I'll likely get an SV with the Premium package. That two-tone interior is just gorgeous. So is the leather wrapped steering wheel. Don't expect performance. While the suspension is better than that found in a 2024 GT Mazda 3, that car can do 0-60mph. in 6.5 seconds. The Sentra SV needs just a tick under 9 seconds to do that. You can get excellent sporty styling on the Sentra. Just not the performance to go with it.

I tested drive one today, and I didn't like it. The emergency brake was next to the brake. Which is not a good thing. Also, the screen in the car kinda felt very old for a new car. But the price for the 2025 out the door is $33,098. which is not bad at all.

These would be great at $15500, $17,000, and $20,200. Unreal an “S” trim starts at 20 grand!? That’s no heated seats, no power locks, black door handles, halogen lights…20 THOUSAND DOLLARS?!?!

25-minute video and you didn't demonstrate remote start for the premium trim levels only or folding down the rear seats. And maybe jam and review the stereos. I realize the audio quality can't be appreciated if you are not there, but differences can be heard.

In Canada the SR Manual is the only way to go. I have a 23 and it's better than the 24 in every way. It came with 18 inch black alloys, as well as the premium LED headlights and LED foglamps which Nissan removed on the 2024 model. They also downgraded the headlights for 24.

One of the few manual cars left in 2024. Too bad you can't get a true performance model anymore . Remember when Nissan had everything from the 300zx down to the Sentra SER it's a shame the are where they are now oh well the car business is a business first

The options are expensive here and a doubtful CVT gear box, no LED head lights in lower trims in Nissan compared to Chevrolet is a disaster for Nissan. Get your prices down Nissan.

Stop the old beat the dead horse CVT comment. If you were up to date, in which you definitely aren't. Nissan fixed its CVT issues starting with the 2020. The 2024s are extremely reliable and have way less issues due to updating and refreshing the CVT.
@MichaelSmith-df5pz4 ай бұрын
There's nothing wrong with Nissan CVTs. Where's sources stating and showing CVTs in Nissan's explode under 100k? I'll wait......... Nissan's always had the best made engines compared to any other car manufacturer for decades pound for pound. These newer CVTs are very reliable Nissan updated as mentioned and refreshed. Again, show me sources of exploding.
