The SUNROOF!! So I was looking at a 540 and I wanted the interactive light bar but also a sunroof. You can’t get both, just one or the other. That is definitely cost savings going on. Other brands are doing it also ( adding more plastics to the interior) but for a 70k+ car I would like to have that option.

very disappointed by bmw in terms of material selection for the interior. Cheap plastic everywhere on the name of sustainability. BMW should look at the competition on what they are doing before even getting such car in the market. Even the non premium brands offer better interior which looks & feels better than this so called BMW X3. If this continues in no time people will look elsewhere for their next car. Being a performance oriented car doesn't mean you cheap out on luxury, both should go hand in hand. Then only it will be called the Ultimate Driving Machine. Please convey our feedback to BMW.

Also! As a after thought I would really really recommend the synthetic leather over the merino. It's extremely high-quality and I do not think that the upgrade warrants the additional cost :)

I've seen and driven the 2025 X3 M50. If you're a true BMW M enthusiast, this will truly disappoint. The plastic piece on the door that controls the vents, locks, &. programed seat positions looks and feels horrendous. I was going to design and build a 2025 but after the test drive and review, I went with a 2024 X3 M. I will gladly pay more for a 2024 even with the body change.

Nice review. How does the ride compare to the x3 m40i? I have a 2021 that I will be trading in within a year. I really like my x3 but the ride can be a little harsh for my taste at times.

Marginally smoother, I think the seats would be a big improvement based off what I’ve been hearing. The suspension feels more adaptive I would say so you might enjoy that.

Of course you are going to recommend this - you work at the dealer. Pretty unanimous in the comments this is not an improvement. There are just too many let downs with the plastic, the sunroof, and the general cost cutting.

I was very honest with my feedback. I give unbiased reviews as much as possible. The m diff makes a HUGE difference in this car. It handles extremely well. Yes there are things it doesnt do great but it’s not 100% a bad car because a few things arent perfect.

PLEASE check/ confirm the hands-free. ALL I've seen indicates up to 40 MPH on X3. Only 5 series up to 85 MPH. I WISH x3 did this because that may tempt me towards X5 instead

It has Active Driving Assistance Pro but sadly doesn’t have the hands free highway assistant. That is only available on the X5, X7, 5 series and 7 series. Thanks for creating this video though! Still not a fan of this generation X3.

Funny I usually love black cars but I think this model looks bad in black and far better in white. The white at least shows some of the design and black makes it just look like a big black blob. The quality of the interior on this generation is really disappointing especially when you consider the price. Already looking forward to an LCI.

Completely disagree - a camera looking at you should be optional not mandatory. I don't buy BMW for plastic, a Tiguan is better equipped. An X5 is cheaper and will be worth more, really disappointed.

I bought my X3 new and had it serviced on schedule by the dealer. The back differential started leaking at 80,000 miles and the front differential failed at 85,000 miles. Worst car I ever owned.
