Just added the mountain twin pro to the quiver. I have the mountain twin as well. These boards are so fun. The twin is perfect for those chill rad dad days and the twin pro is perfect for when I need to get my fix.

Nice! Sounds like this is an upgrade from the Ultra Mountain Twin.

Very good board! Rode it last season (23/24 model) it’s everything you say, for stomping. But it didn’t work for me with carving! Shoe size 46+ the 162W was too narrow for me (stance -9 + 15 Goofy, setback stance) to lay a real trench. Very early boot-out! Had to return it and change it for another deck 😞

Great video! Are you guys going to review the Yes Basic Uninc 2025 by any chance?
@j1089518 күн бұрын
Hey man loving the channel. I’m looking for my first board. I’ve got plenty of time on the mountain but only ever had rentals. I’m looking for something I can learn a few basic tricks and jumps on but still be able to bomb hills and carve groomers with a little bit of pow. I’m not a fan of a soft board and I’ve been recommended the Goliath + but what other options do I have that are similar?
@AngrySnowboarder17 күн бұрын
So you’ve only ever ridden basic rentals and think you need top of the line?
@j1089517 күн бұрын
@ I wouldn’t say I need top of the line but if that’s the board that best suits then it’s the one I’ll go for. Last board I had on rental was the easy killer. I’ve generally been quite lucky with the boards I’ve rented but they aren’t maintained all that well so tend to always need re waxing and the edges sharpening.
@AngrySnowboarder16 күн бұрын
I'll be brutally honest you just need a mid flexing directional twin, nothing more. This board and the Goliath Plus are going to be too much for you.

Awesome review as usual. I ride on the east coast. Will this feel washy in hard snow/ice? Comparable edge hold to the shadowban or better? Thank you man!

This will actually have more grip. You'll be fine on ice with it.

How does it ride in pow? Also are you choosing this or the new Assassin Pro?
@adam_s836Ай бұрын
This has been my internal debate between these two boards too!
@AngrySnowboarderАй бұрын
Fine if you know how to ride pow. If you don’t, time to learn. Assassin pro is more lively and not as damp.

Different camper profile, core, and sidecut. This won’t have the snap or response on edge of the aviator. But the aviator won’t be as damp as this.

Thinking about this board or the spring break resort twin. I live in Michigan and want to have a board that can do it all. What you think would work best?
@AngrySnowboarderАй бұрын
For Michigan I’d go for the Resort Twin. Smaller hills, more parks, no need for a pro version of the MT. Unless you’re riding Mt. Bohemia daily, then get the MT Pro.

Did anything change in the stiffness or the 3d shape as well from the ultra mountain twin from last year? Or is that all the same?
@AngrySnowboarderАй бұрын
It has Koroyd in the core which changes a lot of things.

@AngrySnowboarder thanks, I did see that in the video. Just wanted to know if other things changed as well. Like to try it this year to see what the koroyd does

This is a little more damp and slightly stiffer. The edge hold is more aggressive underfoot as well.

@AngrySnowboarderАй бұрын
Wow another guy named Avran, damn you’re a rarity. Anyways to answer the op’s question. This is better due to the Koroyd in the tips. It dampens the impact then the rocker lets it climb up on top of that crud.

As a resort ripper - carving, fun on the sides and the park, what size for 6", 220lb, US10.5 guy? Thinking of having a Stratos 164W as freeride/pow board or a Flagship...
@AngrySnowboarderАй бұрын
How stiff do you want it because the Stratos is the stiffest board Jones makes right now.
@gobig1977Ай бұрын
@@AngrySnowboarder For my freeride board I don't mind stiffness but still want some playfulness. Maybe a two board combo of a 162W MT Pro for resort riding and a 165W Flagship for pow/big mountain... Or go bonkers and get the Flagship Pro :)
