Thanks for the review TC! Was waiting for this one. I’m looking into buying a passport this year and was surprised you rode a 160 at 160lbs. I’m 170lbs and 5 foot 9 and was thinking between the 154 and 157. I’m coming from a party platter and excavator so I don’t want it to feel too long for the trees, but I also don’t want the 154 to feel too short. Boots are a 7.5 so width is not an issue. Any suggestions for me?

Go with the 157. You will get more stability. -TC

Thanks for the review TC! I am looking for an all mountain board that can handle the slopes with hard snow as well as the off piste with some powder capable of some freestyle butters and side hits. Between the mountain twin and k2 passport which one would be more versatile? Thanks!!
@AngrySnowboarder7 күн бұрын
Depends if you want directional or a directional twin. If you want to take it in the park I'd go Mtn Twin. If you don't plan on it then go Passport. -TC

I've had the K2 Passport as my daily driver for the last two seasons. It's one of the better one-board quiver snowboards that I've owned. However, I'm looking for something similar overall but with better POW float and a bit more carving hold. What boards would you suggest I check out for this season?
@AngrySnowboarderКүн бұрын
Might like a Stranda Biru or Tree Surfer, maybe a Shorty from them. Otherwise an Amplid Singular (not the twin), Surfari, or even a Morning Glory.
@EricVanWambekeКүн бұрын

Or chill guys? I just like to cruise and enjoy the scenery. I like to occasionnaly charge and push my limits in pow, learn, and get as much pow as I can. But I also like to relax my weak body, enjoy the scenery, listen to good music and feel like i'm flying with chill turns ! I might be old in my head but that just makes me happy idk !

Hey looking for size recs. Woman, Size 8 boot. 140-150lb. Had a 149 Airheart 1.0 in past. 149 or 151? Doesn't charge too hard, want to still be nimble in trees but have good stability. Thanks

Why? What is that doing over just looking at the picture of it? Explain what value that provides in a real capacity.

@@AngrySnowboarder Where to start! First things first. A surprising amount of snowboarders buy things because they look cool and they want to see a graphic? Maybe you are reviewing a Cold Brew and didnt know it has a textured top sheet and want to see it. Maybe the base has 3d contouring or a milled core and you want to see it thickness it certain areas. Like a Deep Daze or a Mega Merc. Maybe the board has a traction technology and you want to see the bumps from the side. Say a midbite vs underbite vs magtech vs deathbite etc etc and want to see the sidecut radius. Maybe the board doesn't have a full wrap edge or a deflector plate that you didnt know about from a 2D photo. Maybe something like the Mega Death where you are wanting to see the structure in the base / get an idea for the tune a company does out the factory or all the fancy carbon they put in! Snowboards are sexy damnit show them off. Also camber profiles are measured in millimeters, if you are going to put a board on its side you might want to lay on flat on a table so people can see exactly how tall the camber is / where the early rise starts. You lift it off the ground making it much harder to see. I could keep going with more examples if it helps illustrate my point. You are supposed to be giving a review on a snowboard. Sure some people are new and some of that goes over their head but lots of people out there dont have access to see every board in person and order online. Being able to see all the things I talked about is giving you some of the info you need to make an informed buying choice. Why do you guys even bother getting the board in the video if you are going to have it sit flat from a side profile in such a way you cant even really see the camber, which is the only reason you view a board from that angle lol. You cant even see the graphic or really what board you even have. If none of that information seems valuable to show / explain to your audience I dont know what to tell you. The fact you guys post no riding clips, have no close ups of any products or even have more than one camera angle... It's just lazy. You guys obviously know your stuff about boards and people love to hear what you have to say. You could just drastically improve the quality of your videos with a few tweaks.
@AngrySnowboarder11 күн бұрын
Lazy? It's called efficiency. Short, to the point, with simple terms everyone can understand. Anything more, people can look into it themselves. Obviously you think you can do better, so I challenge you to do it. Do you think you can? Prove me wrong.

Of course have some pros and cons but when you summary: having them is a blessing when you are a „Cruisin rider” who does not go to the park , middle age , and just want to go nice on the edge from one slope to another and enjoy the day :)

Alchemist 157 for charging pow days jumping off rocks and straightlining through the resort Manifest 156 for freeriding the resort day or two after a pow day looking for side hits and stashes Gateway pop for early/late season/chill day jibbing on greens Does this sound good? Should I be considering an excavator? Just doesn’t seem damp enough for straightlining end of pow day chunder which is why I thought alchemist. 160lb 9 boot 5’9 Sound like a good quiver?
