Can’t help but notice that the car in the photo taken by an airport employee features 5 lug wheels and not center-lock wheels that Porsche would undoubtedly use on any version of a GT1. Every high performance Porsche has center lock wheels.

The Tuthill GT One is a beautiful car from nose to tail. I agree with you on the front end of the P39. Why do some designers insist on placing boxes on the front corners of cars? Move on!

Congrats on getting married! I'm proposing my girl at the 26th of this month, so this is going to be a good/special month! 'Flat' would stand for the flattened profile of the car, with the OG GT1 being flatter than the normal 911, as you mentioned by using new glass windows, roofline and more.

If you Google this image, you can see the side mirrors mounted on the fenders and the front chin spoiler installed😊👍 No big spoiler yet just duckbill Porsche would ship something like this in a crate to stay secret The rear of that car from the side air intakes to the duckbill sure does look like the Singer turbo study, low down force set up w/ changeable high downforce wing.

GT1 is the ultimate Porsche. Only 1 road version of the 993 GT1 sits in Bahrain in Collection 1.

See, THIS is what I desperately wish car manufacturers would do now. I've had enough of all these "New" cars that all look the damn same: bigger than they have any reason to be, absolutely overdesigned with all the complex edges that don't seem to follow any kind of design language, ugly frowning faces with giant grilles that look like they're one bad joke away from swallowing you whole and plastic protections over the lower portion of the body just in case you might try to go offroad in an age where almost nobody does that anymore. Everything is a stupid angry SUV or Crossover nowadays and it's sad. I wish manufacturers would bring back their old models that made them into what they are now and give them some fresh new tech, without transforming them into stupid cross-eyed Crossovers (looking at YOU, Ford and Mitsubishi!). Let us have simple designs and good cars once again, in an age where everything has to be overdesigned and overdone a clean and simple look will truly be a breath of fresh air.

I've often wondered why Porsche doesn't buy Singer and do the same thing that Mercedes Benz did when they bought AMG which was to just allow good car people to build the quality that they were already building. So singer is great but, so is Tuthill, Manta Racing, GuntherWorks, and anything Bruce Caneppa worked on. If you are Porsche, who do you pick to be "THEEE" nameplate of a car that you are going to sell for an even higher premium than is currently being paid? Tough question to answer. I would probably go with singer just because they have grown large enough to hire more experts. This allows for an increase in quality control that is usually slightly higher......in my opinion

The car itself is flat like a pancake. My guess is that's where "Flat" comes from. It's clearly mid-engined and I think it's probably a hybrid too. With aero wheel covers on those white wheels.
