I bought one or these after watching the videos thinking I wouldn’t need to buy another one. After waiting 3 weeks with no tracking details I got it and it worked good for the first 35 welds, after that it didn’t even went to boot up anymore. Said my battery was low even being charged for 4 hours. No power going to the leads. Spoke to the company and they sent me a defective board to replace and that took 2 weeks to come. Then accused me of wrongful install when I shouldn’t have to install a product that shouldn’t be broken. After I checked out the 2 boards I realized that the new board had 2 clips soldered wrong and it was shorting out of welder. All in all I’m pretty done with sequre as they really don’t understand that customers are the ones that make the company, not the other way around.

The only problem I have with this lipo battery for spot welding is that when spot welding a thicker plate, say copper 0.15 + 0.15 nickel, my spot welder is set to 60 pulses + 60 percent and the lipo battery from which I am welding starts to get very hot, and I dare not use it anymore! But this phenomenon occurs even with ten spot weldings, even though they spot weld from a Bashing Gens 8000mAh pack, which is 100C!😮

Have you testet the nickel strips, it could be only coating of nickel on steel.

No. You need the batteries I placed in the links. These are manufacturer recommendations. I would not experiment with lower C rating batteries.

I just got this spot welder with a Zee 7200mah 80c battery. It was working fine for most my build. Now its just blasting major holes through my strips of nickel with major sparks. No idea whats up with my welder.

I wonder if all these people are using the same hardware as kweld.. the functionality etc is all the same except for the tip.... I see a flaw with that type of tip keeping the handle side by side you don't dissipate heat very well

No these are only made to be used with powerful lithium polimer batteries I've also seen some car batteries that can work.

​@@SchwaboT5 The battery for the welder I bought from Sequre! Like Jack Franks said in a comment below the negative terminal is linked via a thin metal strip to the 10ga wire!! It's a poor performing battery and Sequre doesn't give a crap about solving any issues!!!!

I bought this welder with the battery Sequre sells(5000ma 100c) and its performance is mediocre at best, to weld 0.1mm to itself I need around 35ms and for 0.2 I was unable to weld at 100ms!!!

have anybody build spot welder old tig/MMA welding machines, i have one were not can use TIG because not on/off button at welding torch working, have alltime only ON mode. one new 3 in 1 welder, MMA can use if stick connect welding ok, TIG not can use have alltime ON mode, plasma i not has test ewer. but interesting if install cables out and diy cheap timer orden and install cables to timer and hand spot weld this. power have lot and timer keep pulses 1-2 pulse fast only

Maybe get someone stronger to pull those welds. I came here to see if this thing could be trusted to create decent welds on 0.2 but I won't find out from this video lol need to rip it to be sure. That's what people need to see in a spot welder review

I don't know anyone stronger. I pulled with my Leatherman and I ripped the strip. I should included that in the video for you. Trust me it is a good spot welder. I have been making batteries since 2013. I can send you a clip where I pulled with the pliers to confirm if you would like.

This spot welder is overpriced, at this price point I would just go with the k-weld. I bought this awhile back and had nothing but regret. Their logistics is garbage, takes forever with tracking being completely obsolete. There are other welders on Amazon that you can buy and test. This one takes to long to receive and return if any issues come up. Id avoid it
