I am 33yrs old....and barely finding this out now. So over the materialistic stuff and just enjoy being around friends, family and a loved one. Life is about the "Human Experience" not what you got or how much you can afford. Especially during times like these, its nice to have people around you that appreciate you for who you are....TRUTH!!! She is buying these items, to gain friends...she doesn't know how else to do this.

Yep, same here. The pandemic did it for me. I used to be all these figures and collectibles but once I was stuck at home 24/7 I grew so tired of looking at them. I realized what I wanted more than anything was to travel and be with my friends because I couldn't do that. I looked around the room and I thought how much of this stuff would I even miss if I sold? Turns out very little. So I sold a bunch of stuff on eBay and made about $6,000 off of it which I'm now using to travel. Now that I got rid of all this stuff and only kept the things I truly love I can appreciate those things more.

My first car was a hand me down 2007 toyota explorer that I shared with my sister. I have moved onto car number 2 which is a 2014 volkswagen jetta. Now I'm not gonna lie my parents tell me everyday they're jealous and honestly I fell in love with my car as soon as I drove it home (I should also mention is was a hand me down as well but it didn't have a lot of miles on it) very quickly I learned if I wanted a nice car then I would have to pay insurance and gas which is totally no unreasonable for my parents to make me pay. This girl is gonna have a hard reality check in about 3 years

How embarrassing this girls behaviour is. I can't beleive any parent would encourage this attitude of entitlement, let alone cultivate it by giving in to her endless demands. It is neglectful parenting to raise any child to have such poor social skills that they are unlikely to ever become productive, socialised members of society. Although she did really well working in the soup kitchen for a while, I do feel sad for this child as she does not seem to have been given guidance on how to function independently as she heads towards adulthood.
