Great channel. When you say you using a 2 and half foot pully rig, im new to this so does that mean the rig body is that long? The hook length is that long or total length for both rig body and hooklength? Cheers lads.

Hi John, it will be the snood length we’re referring to. Both me and Phillip measure our rigs so we can dial in on the fish and find out what presentation works best. Thanks for watching. Tight lines.

Cracking video lads! Is there are bar of any sort at Monknash beach anywhere. Hoping to head there in the next few weeks. Safe to fish it any state and size of tide?
@BanditFishingUK4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom, best fishing on medium to big tides, somewhere around a 11.5 meter or bigger at Cardiff. Think when this was filmed it was over 12 meter Cardiff. It’s a low water mark fishing for about 1.5 to 2 hours down to 3 up. No sandbar but it’s a series of troughs and drop offs no special marks there anywhere can produce.

Hi Tom, I’m using the new tronixpro Blaze line. Great colour and really stands out in the dark to know where your lines are. I’m using the 20lb.

What rigs were you using in monknash please any info what size for body & rig size etc please going there in a few weeks time

Hi Gary. If you rewatch about five minutes in to the video Phil goes through his rig. Lloyd generally uses pulleys on flat beaches which are usually 30inches in length when the hook is clipped up. Phil’s up and over had a snood which was roughly 5ft in length when unclipped. The video shows that both rigs work so it’s on you to pick what you feel most confident with. Rays are not line shy so you can use 80lb for rig body and snoods. We use various styles of hooks usually between 2/0 and 5/0 with 3/0 being the most often used. Good luck
