What about the "specific player" made you not fold your KK for 55 more? The fact that he was a living player?

Pair of AA's is still just a pair, that you gotta fold sometimes. It took a long time for me to learn to fold them when the board gets ugly. Great job reaching $10,000 in 5 months! Stay at these levels for an entire year to strengthen your discipline, fix leaks and establish a year's worth of grinding averages. Keep winning 3-4X your buy in at theses stakes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it! Don't rush to failure by jumping to bigger games before the bank roll is ready because 5/10 games easily become 10/20 when deeper pockets see a smaller stakes player.

Also, at 11:45, is he allowed to change his action? I would think that after putting some chips in, the dealer/floor would rule that he needs to put in the full $135, and then action would proceed from there.
@crazydonkey1104 жыл бұрын
so he can definitely not go all in...his $35 has to stay in the pot and his options are to fold and loose his $35 or he can call the $125 but in no way is he allowed to raise, dealer should know this...
@joel0217824 жыл бұрын
@@crazydonkey110 apparently depends on casino. I played 1-2 at Golden Nugget Las Vegas last night and that same situation happened to the player in my left and they have him the option to remove his bet or play which I also thought was wrong.
@RampagePoker4 жыл бұрын
the rule is his chips he committed were less than half of the correct amount therefore he is free to act. Also, it was an honest mistake so I wasn't going to say anything if he decided to fold
@leehjones4 жыл бұрын
@@RampagePoker It truly blows my mind that they gave him any choice except (a) fold and forfeit the $35 or (b) call the $125. Allowing him to now come back and jam is an *awful* rule. I find it really hard to believe that's the official rule in the room - I would like to think you got an incorrect ruling from the floor. That provides such amazing angling opportunities...

In the last 3 weeks of playing poker I have flopped a total of 1 set out of 77 pairs every video I watched you flopped three or four it's amazing how good somebody can run it's also amazing how bad somebody can run you're playing better and the cards have been going your way for a while just remember it can turn and it'll become so ugly you'll almost want to blow your brains out
@RampagePoker4 жыл бұрын
Edward Odian unfortunate to hear the run bad you’ve been going through, certainly appreciate your reminders of the dark side of poker though.

@@RampagePokerBelieve me I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.. and even though I haven't flopped a set in weeks I'm still ahead in that time but I should be way way further ahead I can sit 3-4 hours and barely win a pot worth mentioning and be patient and then win a few pots and then end up a winner on tonight I don't play a lot of hands but I'm usually the favorite when I'm in them I've learned over the years that if you play too many hands you just aren't going to win also you pay more rake..if you play long enough you will go through it and you'll go through it more than once I remember once I won for 4 months straight barely losing session and then for 3 months I could barely win a session it didn't matter what I played who I played against I win one session and lose three then win one and then lose two and then win one and lose five and believe me I'm usually the best player when I play at these games I play in emotional control is one of the main factors that separate decent from great players I used to play it bodog before it was bovado and I played with bodog Ari and I once asked him what is the Main thing that separates you from all the other tournament Players since you're the number one player at bodog and he said it's my tilt control and he has now been playing live tournaments and absolutely crushing for years remember that when things turn..

Your blog is great, but the one thing that irritates me is you often don't make it clear exactly where you are playing. You will mention a city and not the room/casino name, or you will quickly throw out a name or partial name and don't state the city. Worse is you don't give this info in description area. I suggest you at least always provide city and full venue name in the description area.

21:30 you always do this, you jam for some reason, and then you say you are going for max value, if he doesn't have a straight or a set, what hand is calling you with? If he has an over pair or two pair he probably calls if you size down a bit, say $130. By down betting you get max value.
