I'm so glad you like it, Rowan! For reference, the original 3D printed version was about $100, but those costs kept rising, eventually crossing the $200 mark which is out of reach of almost everyone. The new version isn't just under $100, it's under $50 and the quality is much higher. Hopefully that puts it within reach of most serious cubers.

out of curiosity whats stopping you from just pulling it all apart and rebuilding it? i guess you could say the same for the normal rubiks cube but whats a legal and not legal move just wanting to learn more is all, its kinda hard to wrap my head around this

Legal moves correspond to the virtual 4D puzzle.

Yep, in my understanding nothing stops you to do that. But in order to solve the puzzle legally you need to learn the so called "gyros" which are the 4d equivalent moves.
