BMW M CEO Franciscus van Meel presents details of the new exclusive BMW 3.0 CSL and its two iconic predecessors.
BMW 3.0 CSL: Fuel consumption weighted combined in l/100 km: 11.0 (WLTP), CO2 emissions weighted combined in g/km: 249 (WLTP).
Official data on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. Feel ya'. I and practically every one that meets her love my nearly mint '87 e30 325i cabrio. Not a rare car by any stretch when in production. Only rare now because she has been taken care of lovingly by the three of us who have owned the car. Manufactured scarcity is sad and somehow, a bit less valuable in my opinion.

With only 50 being made, she's going to be a rare beast! Locked away in collections, very rarely seen on the road. All LHD too I would presume, so little to no chance of seeing one registered and on the road here in AU.

FYI. The SEVS import laws allow you to bring in and license low production cars without converting them to RHD. This easily qualifies.

Throughout the video I was thinking how all those track-oriented design features are just meaningless because the 50 units are going straight to private collections and museums. To me it’s just an engineering effort non-sense that only serves the purpose to satisfy bmw engineers egos

So unbelivably weird that this front design alone looks so much better than the normal M4/3. This is what the people meant. You CAN put a huge vertical grill in it but please give it some design cues that work. This works.

Dear bmw, this is so good. It looks that you have changed the designer ou at least the way he/she or they design the car, and I really must say that this is the right path. No disproportional lines, everything is cohesive and the whole package fits well. I must say that this car represents the heart and the essence of what bmw used to give to its costumers. Great job and please keep going with this type of cohesive lines to your cars.

Respectfully, this is an M4 CSL with a bodykit, isn't it? For me it has too much mass above the rear wheel, and the way they stuck the plastic fender on top of the m4 rear quarter just looks funny to me. I would much rather prefer the M4 CSL over this, but with a manual hehe.

Looks quite big. Maybe should have build it upon the M2 body structure. I know they share the same chassis but still. Doesn’t look as slick as the old. Love it either way and well done BMW for continuing to push out special edition combustion engine cars whilst others are cowering to 2L 4 pot engines or going full electric.

But anything around 1600-1500kg would have been impressive. I cannot believe that they could not find 30kg somewhere in the aircon or radio unit to remove and bring it under 1600kg if it is such a "race car"

I was in hope, that the real 3.0 CSL will be wider like the CSL Hommage Concept. Second is the bonnet to high. It looks like a SUV. And last is the CSL to fat and have not enough power in compare to the Base, the M4 CSL. The whole car is a Body Kit M4 CSL.
