That's literally my pet peeve. If I call you or email you, respond. When I'm looking for a shop to work on my car, I go straight to the reviews. You can't please everybody, but your name-it's who you are.

@floridahighperformance I appreciate the response. I've been following in the background, especially Bad Punk'n. I see that you work with DDTech as far as tuning. I buy parts from my guy Tyler there in Florida. I have an 18 V3 Championship Edition, and I live out here in Washington State. I had a guy tune my car (of course, he's all over the Facebook page). I gave him a chance, but he's definitely not the one. I'm on revision 12 of my tune, and I had to go back to revision 9. It seems to be the best car running tune. It took 3 weeks to tune my car, and it still runs like crap. We email and wait for the next log. Over the summer, he disappeared over the July Fourth weekend for a week. I was so pissed. This just goes back to what you were stating: Number one, customer service. I'm definitely going to give DDTech a try. I've already gone to their page and read their reviews. I appreciate the video, but it's a shame you're not closer. Take care

@@unclemel8276 Derek is THE MAN. He’s a guest on an upcoming episode. He straight outworks the competition and obsesses over his tuning quality. Dude is a freak. His business model fits perfectly with ours and it flat out produces excellent results. We are just an email or a phone call away. Thank you again for the support!

Forgive me for bringing a cheerleader here but one thing you didn’t mention about being successful as a shop is “be good at it”. I brought my car to you after a rough time with another shop, now 2 years later haven’t had to put a laptop on it once. You’ve done several other cars ive been a part of or put together entirely myself now too and without fail, they always come back done properly. Having to go back and forth with someone you just dropped 10k or more with is a hard pill to swallow as a customer. FLHP on the other hand, no follow up needed. Performs well when it leaves and continues to do so. Dogging the podcast thing man, awesome stuff as usual.

Agreed. Being good at something is certainly a pillar of success - but being good also comes with time. In other words, don't be afraid to start something even if you aren't 100% ready for it. Sometimes you have to push your boundaries and test your limits and strive to get better - I call it "leveling up". Here at FLHP we are always pushing to level up everyday - never throttle down...never rest on your laurels. I am glad you are happy with our service thank you for your input and checking out the show! - Erik

Short story to back up what Eriks saying. I reached out to a long time friend of mine to inquire about a vehicle I was looking to purchase. My friend was not knowledgeable about the car and gave me Eriks number to get his opinion. I didn't know Erik from adam but he responded to my text and called me back, spoke with me and after I texted him pictures of said vehicle, gave me his honest opinion on whether I should purchase the vehicle or not. He did not make any money off this transaction but took the time to educate me on the purchase to which I was very grateful for. That to me shows that he has a level of integrity and professionalism lacking in most modern businesses today. Thank you Erik. I did end up purchasing a different vehicle with your advice and do plan on reaching out for some mods in the future.

Thank you for sharing your story. While not always possible, I try and give everyone who contacts the shop time. Sometimes I am able to help, sometimes I am not, but I always try to give at least some kind of opinion or input and appreciate it when anyone thinks enough of my shop to call for assistance. We stay humble and take every opportunity to earns ones trust and business. Thank you! Erik

100% agree. Id say the most common thing I hear is, "I really wasn't expecting a reply at 10pm" or "youre the only one that answered the phone to answer my question".

I agree. Communication is the foundation of Business. I have been doing this for 24 years, and I still make it a priority to communicate with my clients, even If nothing has changed. a quick text or phone call " I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you, and I am currently working on ..."
