The University of Memphis has a dominant history in racquet ball and hand ball national championships. If you get to play in the racquet ball courts on campus the hallway is full of championship memorabilia

Virginia Tech actually won the 2007 NCAA bass fishing national championship with a team of two fishermen. Not sure why this isn't widely recognized as other non major sports still count as national championships for other schools.

UCF has an NCAA national championship in football for the 2017 season. This is not disputable as it is published in the NCAA yearly report along with every other national champion for each year since the NCAA was established. Had you used the official NCAA yearly report, you would not have made this mistake. Try using official sources instead of the internet.

wait till you find out the ncaa hasnt been determining national champions for over 20 years. the bcs and cfp do that now. and the official 2017 national champion was alabama according to the cfp. the ncaa also "published" notre dame being the national championn the same year alabama thrashed them in the nc game

@akjdhajkdjhaghjkadh9804 you are wrong! The NCAA doesn't sponsor post-season games at the FBS level and never has. They do, however, have a set of qualifiers ( I believe 6 total) that they do recognize that if a team meets one of them, the NCAA recognizes that team as a national champion. Such as finishing the season ranked number one in the coaches poll. Or, number 1 in the sportswriters' poll. Or, finishing the season rated number one in the Coley Matrix, which is what UCF did. Yes, winning the playoffs is also recognized, but it's no more legitimate than any of the others. The playoffs are sponsored by Dr. Pepper and the winning team receives a trophy from Dr. Pepper. All national championships at the FBS level have been claimed; even the winning the winning playoff team has to receive the trophy before the NCAA will recognize it. Unlike the other methods the NCAA uses to recognize a national championship at the FBS level, the playoff system is not a complete and inclusive system. It's a staged television event by ESPN and sponsored by Dr. Pepper. If you want to see a real college playoff system, watch the FCS, DII, or DIII post season games which are staged by the NCAA.

Kansas State and UCF are bound to get a championship for their athletics soon. Kansas State could go either basketball or football while UCF has a pretty good chance for their football team. Virginia Tech, I don’t know who will be their first athletics team to break through. Their basketball team is good enough to regularly make the tournament but never good enough to go very far. Football is where anytime they’re expected to do something and make a possible push (2010 and 2018 when they were ranked at #13 losing to teams they shouldn’t have lost to) then they always choke.
