I disagree with the first rule. It might good in theory but usually when you tell your goals to other people, your brain perceives that goal as if you ready achieved it. Its more common to see people braging what theyre going to to but at the end then didnt even achieved it. But that depends on the individuals personality.
@TheHarbinger4279 жыл бұрын
I personally find I have to get started first. If I tell someone "I'm going to do X" but haven't started any planning or anything yet, I'm more likely to just not bother. But if I get started, then telling others very early in the process is helpful to me for support.

I'd kind of modify it and tell people that you've achieved something which you already have achieved. For example: I'm going to gym on tues, thurs, sun at 6pm. Tell people "I went to the gym on tuesday and I'll make sure I'll do it again!" I find this works for me.

Very good advice. I've recently through endless trial and error also come to the conclusion that these things are important. But with talking to people, you have to be aware that some people are not very helpful to talk to. Either they don't see that it's important to you, or just don't give very good advice. However, I think that is still useful since it allows yourself to realise what is bad advice and what is good advice when it comes to your goal. Makes the goal more clear in your own mind. Not only this, but it actually becomes a REALITY. Instead of you just hanging with friends and having the goal on your mind. After it is 'pledged' they might ask you 'how's that thing going', suddenly it is something which is real and pushes you to change/acheive/alter it

the first one only works if you surround yourself with healthy people. No one who truly cares about you doing better would try to make you feel bad about changing. If it makes any of you feel better, usually that people are unhappy about their own lifes, and don't really care about yours, so do not let it affect you. You are already doing enough by trying.

About the first one...you don't always get support, you know?! Some words hurts specially from your family and those who are close to you and results in discouragement and shattering your dreams and goals. Specially if you're an only child and those around you expect too much from you. and specifically in certain countries which I don't need to say which. whoever is from those countries will probably know what I'm talking about.

Getting a laboratory is more than one step. The way I would do that is to go to university, study hard (including secretly learning one or two extra languages), get good grades and design your PhD research that requires working in a lab, maybe one in Madagascar. Once you're there and have access to fancy chemicals and equipment, like laser beams and infected monkeys, you can then begin your take over of the lab.

@@KingTubeAR judgement can be altered, coerced. Sometimes you can instinctually or intuitively feel something is wrong, even if it makes complete sense. Someone with a high enough charisma or persuasive ability and enough understanding of their point of view will make a point that makes sense and seems 100% true when in reality it isn't, but it hits everything that makes sense.

First tip has been repeatedly shown in studies to be counterproductive, telling others what you are going to do lessens the impetus to achieve that thing, the theory is that telling others what you are going to do produces - in your subconscious at least - the same feedback as actually doing that thing, lessening the need to achieve it.
