I have a toy aussiedoodle and i’m glad I went with a toy instead of standard! the apartment is the perfect size for her.

How old and what is the height and weight of yours. Mine I was told was a miniature but my vet considers him a toy at 11 inches tall and 8 lbs… hmmm what are your thoughts
@catherinewylie69592 жыл бұрын
I just paid for a "mini" aussie doodle who is the smallest of the litter. The puppies from this litter are supposed to be within 10-20 pounds. I am not sure I really wanted a dog thie little, but I am sure I will love him. I want an ESA dog that I can take places. So not too big, but I am afraid he is going to be littler than I would have liked. But oh, well. I am sure I will love him. His parents supposedly don't have any toy dog type behaviors according the breeder, whatever that means.

do you recommend a breeder of toy aussiedoodles? thank you.

I have a toy too. He is so much fun, very active and i am so happy I made this choice of dog. I live in a house and work. he has a room to himself at this time because i also have a chiauhua (13 years old) who my aussiedoodle is demanding she play with him. Barking at her nipping at her so when I am gone i have to keep him separated from her. My toy is 3 months old, 4 pounds. hahaha I have never had a puppy before and he is a blast. Hope you are having fun too with yours too. Not just the big ones like to run, my tiny little boy loves to run in the backyard. A lot of energy.

Step on the scale see what you weigh then pick up the dog and step back on subtract your weight from the weight of you and the dog to get the dogs weight.

My boy - whose coloring is very similar to Jaxson - is over 50 lbs. at 7 1/2 months. 3/4 Standard Poodle, 1/4 Aussie. I'm a runner so I'm looking forward to when he is 1.5 years old and he can start doing my morning 5 miler.

I have a 7month old mini ausiedoodle who is 25lbs. Is there a reason to wait until 1.5yrs to run 5miles. I take mine on 3 mile hike w. 500ft-1000ft of elevation gain. Is this too strenuous on a 7mnth mini ausidoodle
@TR-yo5nx9 ай бұрын
Running 5 miles with your dog is not healthy and will shorten your dogs life. Test this by observing his stress while your dog is running with you. Stop after a mile and see if your dog keeps moving or lies down. In the wild, wolves run in quick burst to hunt but never run for extended periods of time, they walk. Just my opinion but if you do some research you'll be surprised. Worse are people who ride bikes with their dogs running to keep up. Two 30 minute walks and 15 minutes a day of training for mental stimulus is all a dog needs unless they are working dogs on a farm. Even field hunting breeds don't run unless they are picking up prey.
@odelljl9 ай бұрын
@@TR-yo5nx This is not true. I run with my dogs my entire life. They've all had good long lives and we'e extremely healthy. I always waited until they were two years old so their hips and bones could develop. Then I eased them into it just like I do my own training. My current pup is now three. A 5 mi run three or four times a week is child's play for him. I would have to be careful the surfaces you run on. I would agree the biking with your dog on a leash with you something I'd be very careful with if I did it all which I don't.

My Aussie doodle is 57 lbs at 5 months, how big do you think he’ll get
@JaxontheAussiedoodle10 ай бұрын
Oh he’s big! I would say around the same as his parents, maybe slightly larger.

I am so curious how big my aussiepoo will grow! Right now she is 14.6 at 4 months 🥺! Maybe she might grow to a medium size?
@JaxontheAussiedoodle2 жыл бұрын
Maybe! You can get a good idea from the parents usually the middle of their two weights. But Jaxon was bigger than both of his lol
@maple_the_aussiedoodle31672 жыл бұрын
I’d say she/he will be a moyen (medium) but definitely on the smaller size. My aussiedoodle, Maple is 3 months old and she is 22.6 lbs. (she is not obese, you can check out our videos for proof lol) She is a moyen/standard meaning her mom was a moyen at 40 lbs and her father was 60 lbs. Im thinking she will be 50 lbs. Which is the *perfect* size for me!

Do I have a mini toy? Lol. My Aussie doodle is taller than the toy and weighs way less than a miniature. He is @ 9 months 11 inches tall and 8 lbs. his dad is a 14lb aussie doodle and his mom an 8 lb poodle .
@JaxontheAussiedoodle2 жыл бұрын
Wow! Definitely in-between. I’m jealous you can bring him on planes haha
@catherinewylie69592 жыл бұрын
I think Im getting an inbetween size as well. My puppy, for now at least, is the runt of the litter. they are only supposed to get between 10-20 pounds. I hope I don't regret getting such a small dog, but I am sure I will love him. One of the reasons was I want to take him most places as an ESA and I like a smaller dog for that - and cuddling.
