I have a 9 month old AussieDoodle he is a beast. They get more wavy and shed a little. He can jump about 6ft in air and is very strong. Hikes, walks, and a Kong will be your best friend. Around 6 months they definitely transition and will test you. Also I have the same vest for mine be-careful if he wants to he will be able to get out of it if pulling away from you. But they are the best.

Jackson will bark more as he ages. We laugh because the breeder said not a barking breed. Our Maggie will bark at blowing leaves. Great frisbee dog. Best retriever.

How did you train jaxon to not nip at feet . My mini Aussie doodle is 13 was and is constantly nipping at my legs and heals.
@JaxontheAussiedoodle Жыл бұрын
I had a toy at hand (or in my pocket) all the time. I would put the toy at his mouth when he nipped then he eventually learned to “nip” at toys rather than me

Jackson is a beautiful mini ausidoodle! His lovely temperament already shows . I’m very interested in this breed. I have two Standard Poodles from a litter I raised . I had the magnificent father and adorable mother but both passed away at 16 yrs this past winter. I have two male sons left with me and both 13 yrs. I have always had a dog in my life and some moved across States and simply different homes. I’m 73 and consider all that now and my longevity. But arrangements can be made. My dogs too were all trained for therapy work and have done a lot of that. I don’t want to be selfish but would love to continue having a loving doggie partner in my life. I have been a nurse for 50 yrs and would prefer not to continue having large dogs but I don’t believe a rescued dog would be trustworthy to me . Puppies are work but the bonding is invaluable. I don’t want to be selfish to the dog with my age and I know how debilitating grief from loss of someone you love. You are young and many of my issues don’t apply but you seem rather mature about your attitude toward these mini Aussie Doodles. Thank you for your time . M

Omgosh he is adorable.. my 4 y/o mini Aussie doodle barks constantly!!! She will hear a car door close across the street while laying on our couch. She will jump off, run to the other side of our house and go crazy! She is hyper sensitive to all sights and sounds. We love her to pieces but that is our least favorite part for sure.
@mimigott51663 жыл бұрын
I know some rather amazing details about Poodles, Standard. They are enormously intense about their guard dog duties. My Poodles change out guard duty at the front picture window sitting on a long wide great doggie and human couch . The other one and frequently my sons big black one who is my two boys brother ( and comes to visit) will nap with one eye open just eagerly waiting for an “ inside bark” , which is muffled or softer . Then the circus begins!!! They all three ( age 13 but act 2), spring into action! After standing at a full alert with front paws on back of cushions and couch they completely trust the assessment of the one who was on official guard duty. They catch the scent or view the intruder coming down the lane. If it’s a large dog on or off leash there isn’t much acceptance, same for single male walking or running, single female human they give her a slight bit of slack. If children it becomes a pityful whine but one of “ the children shouldn’t be without a big human or someone like us watching over then. They sound worried. God forbid if it’s a single dog alone because this means one thing only!! Intruder or uninvited invader! Full alert!! One remains at picture window, one flies over the edge of couch to brace himself at the locked open view front doors, the other will race full speed with poodle ears blowing and head down hallway to front corner bedroom with double windows for a great view of the small street that leads to s park and a walking /bicycle path! It becomes a symphony of well tuned Standard Poodles in perfect harmony! I trust them and never yell at them even though I almost jump up and out of my skin. I do speak to each one closely to their ear and ask them for info on the situation that they find themselves compelled to respond about to me. We have our vocabulary filled with “ leave, let it go, I see it, good job , I’m proud of you and I love you. I touch and go to each one and speak French to them. I seldom speak English to them their finishing touch is to head out the back doors to the back lawn and do s thorough investigation of the fence line while “ marking it “obviously saying “ keep out”. To relax and thank them for loving me so much to put themselves into such a state of fight or flight . I don’t know much about Aussie’s but their appearance is just adorable!! My dogs and their amazing but deceased parents have a been certified in ‘ Dog Therapy’. They attended all the classes and passed all their tests and spent many wonderful hours helping people feel better physically and mentally. I was a nurse for 50 years and that helped me find my dogs great volunteer positions. All the training is the most important recommendation I ever make to anyone. Puppy classes on up and stop anytime after level 2 and don’t even do therapy classes . Petsmart is great for the basics. . I just wrote an essay but I felt like sharing . Hope it helped you not feel alone about your doggie’s barking , it must really love you.

@TheBurrito1713 жыл бұрын
Just get a poodle. These are not hypoallergenic. What’s the point of crossing an actual allergy friendly dog with a big shedder/ big allergen for the purpose of “creating a non shedding hypoallergenic” dog? It’s counterproductive. A poodle alone is also a better therapy dog than an Aussie. Poodles also already come in 3 sizes if you wanted one smaller. This doodle crap is just for fashion, and gets you 0 benefits over getting a poodle. You’re just watering down the traits you want for no good reason, and paying way more for it too.
