I've watched the anime's both sub and dub at least 10x both seasons. started reading the manga's cause pretty pictures, am at chapter 90 (staying there even though theres about 7 chapters, I am ocd about numbers. and now it seems I should just bite the bullet and order the LN's. which with this being a favourite series I wouldnt mind. not been obsessed with a show for a while.

Now that i think about it, isn’t zegion some kind of monster even for insectar standards? I mean he have incredible combat senses, he was trained by veldora and he absorbed veldora’s magicule, his exoskeleton merged perfectly with the magisteel and now it is made of hiirokane (if i remember correctly), he is a awakened demon lord, he’s speciality are not physical attacks but mental attacks (i think its huge advantage against other insectar since they can’t see that coming), he have an ultimate skill that gives to him absolute authority over illusions, and last but not least, he possesses a world-system skill that it should be the strongest typology of skills (again, if i remember correctly) where he can decide whenever you live or die.

@Anime Rumpai Lets see if you can nail a video on Carrera next. She's pretty simple but there's some nuance to her personality, power, and character post Eastern Empire. She is after all arguably the strongest subordinate im terms of raw attack potency. Oh don't forget that Testarossa, Carrera, and Ultima fought Zegion under the same conditions as Diablo. Unlike Diablo, it says in V18 that they haven't beaten Zegion because of only attacking parts without Rimuru's cells. Anyways, I'm more critical than most since I read the series a few times and power scale a lot characters. Do us well.

Zelanus the Insect Lord is said to be more powerful than the Phantom Commanders and if he's at the same or at least close to the level of Feldway, then it's likely he can but also you need to remember that Rimuru has the Manas Ciel so he likely already has a counter to the magic nullification of the Insectars

Cryptids, Phantoms, and Insectors already existed in the Otherworld/Spiritual World before Ivarage was ever sealed there. We don't know which came first but Cryptids are semi-spiritual beings born as beasts and insects from high concentrations of magicules. As for Ivarage, it simply created a *new* Cryptid race. That's where Zelanus and presumably his 12 Insect Generals come from. Insectors aren't really explained except that they are semi-spiritual insect type lifeforms that have intelligence and inherent hierarchy. They want to invade the material world in order to build a stronghold or safe haven. They can adapt to any environment so incarnating isn't an issue life with every other spiritual lifeform. Phantoms are angels that were mutated or evolved due to the influence of magicules. I don't we've met any notable Phantoms. The Seraphim are either Yoten or Fallen. Their subordinates are cherub and their troops are mostly various angels excluding Obera and Zalario's troops being Phantoms.

Good question, my take is that I don't really care about the Crunchyroll awards and just seeing the winners I already knew it was a joke. They literally gave more than half of the awards to the most normie ass animes of the year. What they should've done was give Mushoku Tensei a spot in the Anime of the Year category and not the Best Fantasy category instead of being afraid of the "controversies" behind the anime. I'm happy that Tensura won Best Fantasy but Mushoku Tensei should've been Anime of the Year.

@@asiandiablo2717 Demon Slayer was good but it's no where near at the level of Mushoku Tensei, the show has some of the most in depth character writing I've seen in any anime, you actually feel like they could be realistic human beings with flaws, the world itself is super immersive almost like it's a living breathing world, not to the mention the animation was leagues ahead of any 2021 anime and just with the sound quality of Mushoku Tensei alone Demon Slayer already lost. So no, Demon Slayer or any other animes of 2021 for that fact deserve the title of Anime of the Year, only Mushoku Tensei truly deserved it and it's not even a bias fact.
