You didn't know that the original 1933 movie existed, or you just didn't know that I had made this short & sweet edit with all the boring non-Stooge parts cut out? Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@@matturban9103 I strongly recommend another three movies they starred in that you should see if you haven't already: "Rockin' in the Rockies" (1945) w/Curly, and "Soup To Nuts" (1930) & "Gold Raiders" (1951) w/Shemp. At least two of the three are usually free to watch here on KZbin. I also cut a "two reeler edit" of the 1946 movie ML&C were in called "Swing Parade" and it's here on my YT channel so check that out!

This is a very good edit. Most of this movie really isn't worth watching, so this strips it down to only the good stuff .

Btw, I also did a "two-reeler edit" for "Swing Parade" (1946). It's not as rare or maybe not even as good (I like it better) but it also has Curly and has only gotten around 100 views compared to almost 10,000 for this one and I can't figure out why there's such a huge (100x!) difference!!! Check it out and tell me what you think!

Seems right to me. Btw, there's a line in their first movie Soup To Nuts (1930) that's also in their last one, The Outlaws Is Coming (1965)! Both of those movies were written by cartoonists, also -- Rube Goldberg and Norman Maurer, respectively!

My apologies that it still takes awhile before Moe, Larry & Curly show up -- it's the best I could do towards cutting this so all the Stooges' scenes take the fore while still having the plot of the film make any sense whatsoever. What truly mystifies me is that this "newly-two-reelered" short has gotten well over 1000 views (Thanks, folks!) while my other, better one for the Stooges' 1946 Monogram feature "Swing Parade" has only gotten 30 views(!) Check it out and then tell me here which one you like best: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYvMfKppYpx6ec0

Apparently ZaSu Pitts was the actress that Popeye's girl Olive Oyl was based upon. One can definitely see the resemblance in this movie.

@@kenlieck7756 Yeah. The Marx brothers switched from Universal to MGM also. Some people today don't like them because they had musical numbers in them, but they don't appreciate the greatness of musical numbers from Hollywood's Golden Age. The musical numbers of 1930s and 1940s films were something that more people from that era loved. People today only want to see the comedy parts of the Marx bros films, which people then loved too, and so do I, but the musical numbers of the time were also great

Probably not. My dumpster computer started acting up, and anyway the next ones I was thinking of doing (Gold Raiders or one of the DeRita-era ones) weren’t looking to work out as well as I had expected. So for now it’s just the two I have already posted.

Which is exactly why I have attempted to edit it into a two-reeler in which they are. I don't claim complete success, but for most people it makes it into something they're more likely to enjoy.
