I believe that the temptations are real. The three temptations are as real as they were with Adam and Eve, and as real as today. In this present age, which I live. Thank you for the teachings, and thank you for the guidance, which "if I follow" will allow me to overcome all temptations, since all temptations fall into these three categories. My life experience has taught me that I am more susceptible to one type of temptation, and other people are more susceptible to the other types of temptations. I do not debate the validity of the bible, cause that is nothing more than form of false pride. There should be more dialogue about the "How to", "How hard it is", and "What do I need to change" in order to follow through on the "5 Lessons". To get better, I need to use the lessons, take the right actions, count my blessings, thank the Lord, Holy Spirit, and Father for all that they have provided. I invite any comments.

This passage is an attempt to describe a deeply altered state of consciousness which is ultimately impossible to grasp fully without direct experience.

Judas Sicariotes was the Chief of the Scribes until the crucifixion. He was committed to zealotry & eastern views. The successor of Judas the Galilean, he was called 'Satan', & under this name debated with Jesus in the 'Temptations'. On this occasion (which took place near Mird, the 'Wilderness'), they were working out the differences within the newly formed anti-Baptist party. Showing Jesus a map of the world as it was then known, he said, " If you will worship me, all this will be yours". The concealed meaning was: "If you will accept me as Priestt & Pope, I will make you king". Jesus replied, "You shall worship the Lord your God, & him only you shall serve ". He was declaring his support for the head of the peace faction, Jonathon Annas.

The 1st temption seems like its the flesh but its actually more spiritual. It was to test his character, if Jesus would imporperly use his divinity to cheat.

Do not get temptation and physical requirements confused , human beings require food and sexual urges, this is not sin even addiction is not a sin , pure evil intention is a sin in Gods eyes , when you know in your heart what you are doing is wrong to any part of creation , Examples , conspiring against your neighbor for selfish purposes ,threatening or murdering peacefulness for personal gain , destroying creation .

The Greek word peiredzw can be translated test or tempt. English translators chose tempt, even though God tests no one, and he doesn't lead his son out to be tempted. God does, however, test his people, as we see from Scriptures in Exodus and other books of the Bible. This is one more reason preachers and teachers should take time to learn to read Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic.

Evil spirits This evil spirit, while I was laying in my bed was trying to (sell) The idea to me through mine control that there was a working hex upon me. But I did not (buy) In to it. I counteract it through resistance/the oil. Now right after that I was sent to the spirit world to be Judged buy the oil. In the spirit world/The second heaven, I got out of a van on my right side back door, the spirit that did this to me was standing at the front of the van toward my right, then a black chicken flew out the back door of the van that I had came out of and flew toward the boy and attacked! Him. The boy looked to be about 12 years old, he used that black chicken to help him do his bidding against me while I was in real time. Now here’s the understanding and the judgment of all this. While I was in real time the boy used that black chicken against me through the idea of mine control causing my last, to become his first, “so to speak” but when I had intercepted the idea that was used against me I counteracted it through resistance/the oil, causing that evil spirit’s first, to overcome my last, so that black chicken attacked him Instead of me. 7:36 AM Sat Oct 22 Just as I am writing this a evil spirit came up on me causing mood control against me, naturally I counteracted it/used my oil, they hate when I tell their secrets. The blackness of the chicken represents the unconscious made up of dark matter and dark energy within you’re eternal sea of glass, which stores, that which is commonly known as the unconscious within itself, If I had (bought) into what that evil spirit was (selling) me I would have taken within my eternal sea of glass the dark matter and dark energy of that evil spirit, I would have defiled my white robe with darkness, not using my oil. And the flight of that black chicken represents the flight of my imagination that I did not! Take on to myself, so it flew back to the boy, so the boy had to take it on to himself. And it goes back to that evil spirit double! Not only the particles within that spirit’s first, but now it has to take on also my last, and that spirit’s particles now within my last. God, said to me. “Do all that is right and all shall be done.” The Benjamin, represents The Spirit Of Truth, you have did within your spirit the right thing to do. The back door! In the mind of the spirit, not the front door facing east. But the gate of the inner court/of the porch, that faces north. As you have already seen that the front door, was already shut! Off from that evil spirit, as I was putting in work/oil of the Holy Spirit. This is a spiritual warfare that is mental. Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. Matt 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Is it correct to say Jesus was tempted or He was being tempted from outside? For James 1:13 says : God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
@pursuegodvideo
@pursuegodvideo 2 жыл бұрын
Great question. The key to this situation is to remember that Jesus was BOTH God and man. The temptation was attacking His flesh, not His divinity.

@@pursuegodvideo but He is one person. Also when they say Mary was mother of Jesus and not of Christ, they divide the Person of Christ, while it's impossible. Mary was the mother of Jesus Christ, the God Man.

Jesus may have understood the Law and the Prophets; but Satan’s challenge demonstrates his truer understanding of “the hearts of the sons of men that are full of evil” (Ecclesiastes 9:3). Satan understood that men care more about their bellies than their souls and for that reason will always choose earthly bread over the bread of heaven. God himself understood this and was together with Satan in this understanding, for “God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil” (Genesis 6:5). Jesus replies with sublime poetic eloquence - “Man cannot live by bread alone” - but thereby sets a challenge that men cannot rise to. Thus Jesus successfully resists temptation - but Satan wins the argument.

I'm confused, isn't the 2nd temptation about giving Jesus all glory and authority over all the kingdoms/nations etc and 3rd temptation to jump off the cliff? only asking as I've looked at a number of videos relating to this subject and there are many that seem to confuse the sequence - even looked up NLT as quoted in this video and the sequence is as I thought... reading below: Luke 4:1-13 New Living Translation (NLT) The Temptation of Jesus 4 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness,[a] 2 where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry. 3 Then the devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become a loaf of bread.” 4 But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone.’[b]” 5 Then the devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please. 7 I will give it all to you if you will worship me.” 8 Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’[c]” 9 Then the devil took him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! 10 For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect and guard you. 11 And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’[d]” 12 Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’[e]” 13 When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came.

Markus, I was not there and cannot personally attest to the accuracy of the gospel accounts. However, it is my understanding that historians generally give considerable credibility to contemporaneous accounts written in the narrative form. In addition, the Bible has proven to be an extremely accurate account of events, proven over and over again to be extremely accurate in the details.

I think these three temptations contribute to highlight that it’s all a story....even Jesus himself is a character. Obviously you wouldn’t tempt with Bread......if the guys starving .....and I was Satan, I would at least suggest “lasagna and chips...with sauce “ etc. the second temptation to jump of a cliff, is hardly a real temptation.....even a child would respond “ummmm no thanks ....I’ll die” The third temptation is about power which is more tempting than the previous two, but hardly reachable or tenable...so to reject it is hardly s big deal....we all live without such power , even world leaders. So I think the temptations are meant to mean something other than what they depict.....and the story isn’t meant to be read as real events (clearly ridiculous )......but meant to be seen as an analogy of sorts. Even the crucifixtion and all the rest is meant to be a story....at least how the gospel of mark is written . Matthew and Luke attempt to make it a real event in history but it clearly isn’t
