These tithes were not just about giving but about cultivating a spirit of generosity, unity, and faithfulness to God's commands.

Yes but like ten commandments the offerings & Tithes were given to Jews not for others. You Sunday worshippers dont want to obey the Ten commandnents telling they were given to Jews. But tithe and offerings how you obey.

This video does a fantastic job of explaining the three types of tithes in the Old Testament Levitical Tithe, Festival Tithe, and Charity Tithe. It's fascinating to learn how each tithe had a specific purpose, whether it was for supporting the Levites, for celebrating religious festivals, or for helping the less fortunate. The emphasis on generosity and community is a powerful reminder of how deeply interconnected faith and daily life were for the Israelites. The way these principles can still resonate today, encouraging us to care for others and honor spiritual traditions, is truly inspiring. Thank you for providing such clear insight into biblical tithing!

I love the unity, community and thankfulness for God’s provision and mosaic law tithing system. We are not under old testament mosaic law anymore. And do not practice in this way. After Jesus’ resurrection-new testament instructs us to give with a cheerful heart and love, not under compulsion. We Give out of thankfulness to the Lord and gratitude.

It's interesting how none of the compulsory tithes were recorded as being received from earned wages although there's ample evidence money was widely traded and wages were earned during those times. All systematic (required) biblical tithes were received from either the tithe of the herd or the tithe of the land (Leviticus 27:30-32).

Hey guys, thanks for your hints on the checklist. But how amazing it is to see in my neighbors the Holy Spirit working in their aura during the ministries. The first persons were the preachers and the lectors. Then all members of the intire community showed up their gleaming aura without wanting it. This is happening only on holy ground in church. There I don't want it eather when it's happening. I guess the Holy Spirit wants me to know that He is in every soul, who's believing in Jesus Christ as Son of God, our Redeemer and comforter.

The primary reason tithing wasn't expressed in monetary terms in the Old Testament is simple: money didn’t exist in Moses’ day and the Israelites were then an agrarian society. According to to the Greek historian Herodotus, the Lydians invented money - in the form gold and silver coins - around 650-600 BC, that is, only during the last 50 years or so before the Babylonian exile! Money as we know it today (i.e. fiat money whose material value is unrelated to its monetary value), came into existence over 1½ millennia later - in the 12th century AD. Does anyone really want us to go back to buying grain and livestock so we can pay our tithes and offerings that way, just because that’s how it was done in Moses’ day?

Abraham paid for the land he used to bury his wife. Jacob's sons went to Egypt with money to buy food. Who taught you that money is THAT recent an invention?
@Berean_with_a_BTh
@Berean_with_a_BTh 3 ай бұрын
@@lawnigeria2133 Abraham and Jacob's sons didn't use MONEY for the purchases. In Abraham's case, for all you know, the purchase was made with goods and/or livestock, though agreed weights of silver & gold were commonly used - as were gems. Jacob's sons most likely used agreed weights of silver & gold. What do you suppose Leviticus 19:36; Deuteronomy 25:13-15; Proverbs 11:1; 16:11; 20:10, 23; & Micah 6:11 are about? Next time, try to be a little more thoughtful before rushing off to correct someone on a topic you're ignorant of.

Money is mentioned numerous times during biblical times as were earned wages (Haggai 1:6). Perhaps the most telling in regard to the tithe is Deuteronomy 14:22-27 where tithe items are sold for money, then used to purchase consumable items upon arrival at the place of meeting for consumption and for sharing. Money existed. It wasn't accepted as a systematic tithe deliverable with the possible exception of the land tithe redemption, and there was a penalty for doing so. Although the Bible doesn't specifically say why money wasn't accepted as a tithe deliverable, it's likely because that which is man-made can't be considered Holy. Systematic tithes weren't delivered for economic benefit. They were submitted from either the tithe of the land or the tithe of the herd (Leviticus 27:30-32) to the Levities as they weren't allowed plots of land for farming. Rather, they were care takers of the temple. They still had the Levitical cities and there was no limitation mentioned on whether they could earn money through other means. Also, consider the specific denominations of money mentioned for offering redemptions throughout Leviticus 27. It's apparent there were different denominations of money exchanged for offering redemptions. Yet once again, money is not mentioned as a redemption remedy for the land tithe redemption and there was no redemption remedy for the tithe of the herd.

@@markb7067 Oh, really??? Money was referred to in Leviticus even though it didn't exist then??? How remarkable that God commanded something that would be impossible for anyone to comply with for many centuries! Are you really that stupid? Why do you suppose Genesis 23:16 refers to: _four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants?_ Or why Genesis 24:22 refers to: _a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets ... weighing ten gold shekels?_ So tell us what a bekah, gerah, mina, shekel, & talent were! Instead of being such a know-it-all, why don't you look up the meaning of 'shekel' when Leviticus was written. Then look up the date Haggai was written and see how that compares to the dates I gave, too...

So clearly all Tithes regardless of who it's given are "all" concerning food. Nothing says to give money to a church outside of offerings. Which is not mandatory because its an offering from the heart.

You are right about the three types of tithes under the law of the old covenant. Gentiles have no authority from God to receive tithes and offerings under the law because God ordained the tribe of Levi to receive tithes and offerings from the children of Israel. [ Hebrews 7:5 ] God requires a heave offering of all the tithes and offerings, as the Lord commanded Moses. [ Numbers 18:28 ] If the high priest of Israel did not offer God the heave offering of all the tithes and offerings, as the Lord commanded Moses, the high priest is robbing God. [ Malachi 3:8 ] God commanded Israel to give the tithes and offerings to the Levi tribe. Jesus and apostles did not receive tithes and offerings because God ordained the tribe of Levi to receive tithes and offerings from the children of Israel. Gentile preachers are using the levitical law of God to receive tithes and offerings when God never commanded. Gentile preachers are not offering God the heave offering of all the tithes, as the Lord commanded Moses. Church members are not giving their tithes and offerings to the levitical tribe of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses. The preacher receiving tithes and offerings under the law of the old covenant is not obeying God. And the church member that are tithing under the law of the old covenant are not obeying God either. The question is, does God want obedience or sacrifices? The love of money is the root of all evil. [ 1 Timothy 6:10 ]

Good teaching. It is only a bit disturbing that you mostly use pictures/,images from Muslim people and gatherings, and even at one place, a pagan temple with what looks like Chinese farmers. Also, earlier in your narrative you show the Israelites wearing kippahs, which was not the case. It was only when the tribe of Judah, who later became the "Judean" people, returned from their exile in Babylon, that some of them started to wear the kippahs, which they have learnt to do by example of their Babylonian and then Persian overlords. Please refrain from using those kind of pictures, which truly have nothing to do with the history of the Israelites. I know your intentions are good --- but many good intentions caused many good people to miss the narrow road.......

Tithing is not about 'Giving'; It is not about bringing things to a religious space or person! Study scripture and you will find the truth about tithing, a celebration with others and a remembrance the the Lord our God is God! Deuteronomy! Today, tithing is used as a ging hence the multiple religious groups we see that seek to make the most of what people can give them! Today, we not only have a lot of false teaching but, along with it, false teachers and false doctirnes hence the differect sects of religions we see!

When you people accept and obey the instruction or precepts on Tithe why you all the Sunday worshipers reject the Ten commandments particularly the 4th commandment about seventh day of a week Sabbath. You people say the commandments were given only to Jews not for others. The same way the offerings & Tithes also were given to Jews. God is going to judge all the people on the basis of Ten Commandments please understand that.

God will not judge us on the basis of the 10 commandments. Salvation is by faith and Jesus Christ. We are justified by faith in his name, not by keeping the law as Roman's chapter 4 says. If we love God, we will obey his commandments, laws, precepts, and word. The love of God is not in you calling believers " you people." The money we make is not ours is God's. We are only administrator and will give God an account of what we did with His money. The money is to grow barns or treasures in heaven not on eartht. There are much too materialistic believers in the world. Worry about money instead of believe God for their needs.
