There are some great Bible teachers out there who are just lost when it comes to Bible prophecy. But they knock it out of the park on salvation and much of the NT. They take the NT very literal, but suddenly do a 180 on prophecy.

I’ve recently been questioning pre mil (& pre trib rapture) because I’m shocked at how split the body of Christ is on eschatology. All of the videos I’ve watched on pre, post and a millennial still has me in the pre camp. The others just don’t add up, too many verses are ignored or excused away as spiritual. This was an excellent explanation!

The idea that “the church” is Jesus reigning on the earth is so far off it’s just indefensible. The idea that all the prophecies are fulfilled and all that is left is His return ignores so many prophecies which haven’t happened yet! I just mention a future prophecy and and ask when did it happen? They can’t say because it like so many others, hasn’t happened yet! You can’t sight 70 AD as the fulfillment of all end time prophecy. It just doesn’t fulfill all of them! Period! But that’s what some people do.

Has anyone else noticed that every time the wrath is poured out God provides away out of it ? Noah and his family were told to build an ark , lot and his family were told to leave sodom and Gomorrah, Moses was told to put the blood on the door posts, God sent his son that whoever believes in him shall be saved; wouldnt it be reasonable to say that we will be raptured before the wrath is poured out ? Why would God let us go through something that is meant for unbelievers?

Another point to support pre-millennium is the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation. When temple destroyed in 70AD, no two witnesses before. Two witnesses standing in the temple number 3. In the book of Ezekiel, there is a temple number 4?

Great content! The “pre-millennial” view is, hands down, the only view worthy of consideration. The other two views quickly begin falling apart the more one researches the Scriptures. I have never understood how anyone an read the Bible and believe in Amil or post mil. TO be Amil you have to have the starting point that the Bible says its pre mil, but its does not mean its pre mil. There is no possible debate on actual the text of the Bible on this issue. The debate is over does the Bible mean what it says or mean something very different than what it actually plainly states. If you can take what the Bible says on the Millennium and turn it into an Amil or post mil position you can pretty much make the Bible say whatever you wish it to say.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was protected in the fire.i believe God doesn't change and we will also be protected in God's wrath if needed. Why would we be any different than in the past. What does 2Pe 3 say about the “day of judgment”? 2Pe 3:2 I want you to recall both the predictions foretold by the holy prophets and the commandment of Yahshua our Savior through your apostles. • 1st is “the predictions foretold by the holy prophets” • 2nd is by the “commandment of Yahshua through the apostles” So, what did Peter say would happen on the coming of Yahshua on judgment day? • 1st there will be scoffers saying “where is the promise of His return” • 2nd in verse 6 he brings up the flood where the whole world, except eight, are destroyed in one day. • 3rd he addresses this fact that it happens in one day in 2Pe 3:7 But by the same word the present heavens and earth have been reserved for fire, by being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. • 4th is how Yah doesn’t want any to perish, and that’s the reason for a day being like a thousand years, and a thousand years being like a day “to Yah”. • 5th in verse 10 he restates for a second time that the heavens and earth are destroyed on that day. • 6th in verse 12 he restates for a third time that the heavens and earth are destroyed on that day. • 7th in verse 11 he restates again for a fourth time that these things are to be destroyed, “melt away” on that day. • 8th in verse 12 he restates again for a fifth time that the heavens and earth will be destroyed on that day. • 9th in verse 13 we are waiting and hastening the promise of new heavens and a new earth where “righteousness Truly resides”. • 10th put this to the Deuteronomy 13 Test. Is this day of judgment in the Torah? Yes! Because Yahshua gives the reference to the “flood”, “Sodom”, and Lot’s wife about the day of His return, and all of these judgments happen in one day, as the Word says. • 11th do these things agree with the holy prophets, Yahshua, and apostles? Yes! Everywhere that judgment day is brought up the prophets tell the exact same thing that the other apostles along with what Peter is telling us right here. “There’s Nothing New”! • 12th we are warned about believing anything different in verse 17, “…since you have been forewarned, be on your guard that you do not get led astray by the error of these unprincipled men and fall from your firm grasp on the truth. The reason why am I writing this is because the people of the world’s religions, including Christianity, are looking for a savior to come and bring peace and safety, but on “That Day” comes sudden destruction to the heavens, earth, and all sinners! So, “…DON’T FALL FROM YOUR FIRM GRASP ON THE TRUTH”!

There were surely some mischaracterizations about post-millennial thought, but the thing I think was most damming about this video is his characterization of the meaning of "this generation" based on Matthew 24. He states that since Jesus in discussing events prophesied by Daniel uses the term “those days” four times it means that he is speaking to a future generation. It’s important to note that Jesus is not making a random speech here, he is answering a question posed to him by his disciples who are with him at that time, Matthew 24:3 “Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’” In Jesus’s response to them he says “you” ten times referring to those present, those that asked the question. He is answering them, telling them what to watch for, what to be cautious of, and what to expect. In particular, Matthew 24:33 makes it clear he is referring to the people he is presently speaking to "So YOU also, when YOU see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors!" This is further supported by Matthew 16:28 "Assuredly, I say to you, there are SOME STANDING HERE WHO SHALL NOT TASTE DEATH till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” Jesus is speaking again to his disciples. Therefore, Jesus’s kingdom came before the last of the disciples with Jesus at this time passed away. Consequently, I'd say it is reasonable to believe that we are in the 1000-year reign of Christ. And if our world doesn’t look like what you expected the reign of Christ to look like, remember that Christ did not fit the vision of the warrior messiah held by so many first century Jews who looked for Him their entire lives.

A Millennium Puzzle to solve… Will Christ be conducting funeral services for mortals killed in accidents 500 years after His Second Coming? The “first resurrection” in Rev. chapter 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the Book of Revelation, because the two witnesses are resurrected from the dead in chapter 11. There are two different types of resurrection in John chapter 5. There is a spiritual resurrection from the dead in John 5:24, and a bodily resurrection from the dead in John 5:28-29. Does your view of the Millennium agree with what Paul said in 2 Thess. 1:7-10, when Paul said Christ returns in "flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel? The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20. Does your view agree with what Peter said in 2 Peter 3:10-13, when Peter said this earth is going to burn and "dissolve" when He comes as a thief on the day of the Lord? There is no need to take the reference to this millenni-um, this one thousand years, as a literal one. This is a symbolic number, in a symbolic chapter, in a highly symbolic book. Throughout Scripture, it is used as a place holder for a very large number-the number of hills where God owns the cattle (Ps. 50:10), the number of enemy soldiers that one Israelite will pursue (Josh. 23:10), and the number of generations with whom God keeps covenant (Deut. 7:9). And references to a thousand years are also obviously figurative. "For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night" (Ps. 90:4; cf. Eccl. 6:6, 2 Pet. 3:8). The millennium IS the Church now. The new earth and heavens is the church age. hence NEW akin to sin defeated at the cross and Satan no longer able to affect nations as he once did. The strong man is bound. The Church is the new Jerusalem.

This is one strange explanation of the Millennial. Now I see why Jesus did not choose this faith to preach the Good News of the kingdom to the world. I will explain the Millennial in very simple terms. At Acts 3:21 it talks about the restoration of all things. Or in other words, we will get back to what God purposed from the beginning. Because what God purposes to do, it will be accomplished. Isa.55:11 Let you Will be done on earth....Matt.6:10 When God put man on earth, He purposed for man to be guided by perfection from heaven. Man was not suppose to grow old or die. We would have all been given the opportunity to serve God and at a point in time, there was going to be a day of judgement and all those who proved faithful would remain on earth forever and all those who chose not to serve God, will go back to the dust of the ground. The devil challenged God's right to rule in the Garden of Eden and for the last 6000 years, God allowed the devil to rule over mankind to prove that his way of ruling does not work. Thankfully, Jesus died for us and paid the ransom for us to be forgiven of our sins and to live again. God will bring this system to an end in the great tribulation. The only survivors will be the chosen ones. Everyone else will die as they did in the days of Noah. Matt.24:21,22 And after that, the 1000 year reign of Christ will begin. The survivors will be the foundation members of the Millennium. They will prepare the earth for the coming resurrection of billions of people. And the devil will be locked away in the abyss for the 1000 years, so that he does not mislead the nations. Rev.20:3 Just as it would have been after Adam was created. It was never God's purpose for the devil to come down and tempt Adam and Eve. And then there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous right back to the earth. Acts 24:15 They will be the subjects of whom Jesus and his 144,000 associate rulers will be Kings and Priests over. Rev.5:9,10 Rev.20:6 And it is at this time, that God's original purpose for man to be guided and judge by righteous rulers will continue. Acts 17:31 2Pet.3:13 And Jesus will teach everyone about the knowledge of Jehovah. This knowledge will cover the earth as the waters covers the sea. Isa.11:9 After the 1000 years are finished, then Jesus will turn over the kingdom back to Jehovah so that God may be all things to everyone. 1Cor.15:28 And then the devil and his demons will be released to test mankind for one last time. But everyone who follows the devil will be destroyed with him in the symbolic Lake of Fire. Rev.20:7-11 After that, the tent of God will be with mankind forever. Death will be no more. Pain and sorrow will be no more. And faithful mankind will live forever in peace, on earth , just as God purposed it from the beginning. The restoration of all things.

You forgot the forth way of prophetic interpretation; Historism, the belief that prophecy can be applied to sequential historical events and that it is unfolding right before us and the End and Return of Christ are imminent. The Historist belief of the Millennium is that the human soul is asleep until Christ returns to take the righteous living into Heaven, and raises the righteous dead from the grave. The Millennium then takes place in heaven while Satan and his Angels are bound to the Earth, while the righteous are presented the book of records to review the judgement of God on who was saved and lost to find it Just. Then after the Millennium, The wicked are resurrected and stand with Satan and the Fallen angels to be judged and cast in the Lake of Fire, where they are destroyed before God then recreates the Earth, more beautiful than it had been at Creation, and the Holy City of Zion raigns upon the Earth forever.

Amillennialism is centered around Christ the most and has been the dominant view for most of church history. Saint Augustine was a famous amillennialist. He was premillennialist and then changed his mind after he saw the chialists become too worldly in their thinking because Christians would get ridiculed for taking things like the fall of Rome to be the end of the world. Even if the Roman empire were to perish, it did not mean “the end of the world.” Jesus would still rule and reign in his church. People should put their trust in God, and not in political empires. As a result, Augustine understood the “millennium” to be synonymous with the age of the church, and that the “1000 years” should be interpreted figuratively, ending at an unknown time, and avoiding the temptation of the chialists who are always trying to fix days for Jesus’ return.

There is no need to take the reference to this millenni-um, this one thousand years, as a literal one. This is a symbolic number, in a symbolic chapter, in a highly symbolic book. Throughout Scripture, it is used as a place holder for a very large number-the number of hills where God owns the cattle (Ps. 50:10), the number of enemy soldiers that one Israelite will pursue (Josh. 23:10), and the number of generations with whom God keeps covenant (Deut. 7:9). And references to a thousand years are also obviously figurative. "For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night" (Ps. 90:4; cf. Eccl. 6:6, 2 Pet. 3:8). The millennium IS the Church now. The new earth and heavens is the church age. hence NEW akin to sin defeated at the cross and Satan no longer able to affect nations as he once did. The strong man is bound. The Church is the new Jerusalem.

What I dont get, is the bible tells us that satan would be locked up for a thousand years. Calling it Jesus' mellenial reign is false. Jesus is King. He does reign. Now and forever and has reigned. So where does it state in the bible that Jesus would reign a thousand years? Satan locked away for a 1000 years is one thing. Jesus reign is now and forever and it started at calvary....did it not?

Something to think about is the book of Revelation is mostly symbolic, the why would a 1,000 be literal, Good luck in your study. It can be a very difficult study, but not a salvation issue. Be faithful to the end.

Good hermeneutics is to take scripture literally first…then spiritually when absolutely necessary! It says 6 times in Revelation 20 that Jesus will reign on earth for 1,000 years! It’s very clear and no way can be misinterpreted! I believe when it says a thousand years…that’s exactly what it means! This spiritualizing of scripture started under Jerome back in the third century! Anyone… can make the Bible say…whatever they want… when they begin to spiritualize.. vast portions of the scripture!

It says that for the duration of satan being bound for a thousand years,(not literal) that he who has part in the first resurrection, will be a priest of God and Jesus Christ and reign with him a thousand years. Anyone can make the bible say...whatever they want. What it actually says is this... And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And after hes loosed, Jesus is still reigning. It states the duration of satan being bound, and not the duration of Jesus' reign. Jesus does reign now and must until he has put all enemies under his feet. So your"literal" thousand years is already at 2000 years since he ascended to sit at the right hand of God. Or do you believe the 1000 years happens after the consummation when the beast the false prophet and satan are cast into fire? Once Jesus returns, it done. The thousand years is between Jesus first and second coming. When satan is released, he goes out once again to deceive. That is now. Yes its very clear to some and misinterpreted by others. Unfortunately, many people do not read their bibles and rather let someone else tell them whats in it. Trust in God and God alone and thank him for guidance and discernment and ask him for understanding of His word and He will show you nothing but truth. It doesnt mean everyone will agree with you on what hes taught you.

I agree w/ u. I was raised w/ the premillennialism view, it was never "taught" to me per se, but it's clear my parents were in that camp. But I must say, that through my own observations, Bible study, & hearing many o others' opinions on the topic, I haven't found any compelling/convincing arguments to change my mind. However, unlike my parents & church, I don't believe there will be a "secret rapture". There's 0 evidence, compelling or otherwise, that supports that teaching.

I don't yet have a position on the MK..but I am seeking. I am quite sure that if I took all of your arguments..I might come up with other scripture or other book that was taken out of the bible..The book of Enoch..to disagree..For instance..You said that there were never any rulers over 10 kingdoms..but the Watcher angels were appointed to watch over the 10 kingdoms ..They enjoyed being worshipped so much that God told them that they would die like mere mortals...and so Satan truly may have been the King of Tyre that God spoke to in Ezekiel..The Nephilim angels were the fallen ones and they are listed in Genesis as being the mighty men of old..That is not all that I might be able to take issue with..but when you said that Jesus said..pray this way. Thine kingdom come thine will be done..why would Jesus say to pray this way if his kingdom had come? 1st Resurrection already had happened when Jesus was resurrected, the dead ones from tombs rose up Matthew 27: 53 says, And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his (Jesus) resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. While i agree with most of this video because I am a premillenial, I do disagree that it’s about Rome. Remember that it’s Nebuchadnezzar who has the dream and he is wondering about his own kingdom of Babylon, - Rome never extended to Babylon, Persia, Greece did, but it never fell under any other until the rise of Islam. Islam is described as a crushing kingdom different than all the others and it indeed was different, because it was religious, yet in its latter form today it’s unable to keep itself stable, the Islamic caliphate crumbled. As you read in revelation 13 it’s the same kingdoms spoken of by Daniel, using the same imagery. Revelation 17 talks about 7 kingdoms, and the 8th is of the 7th, the one that “now is” is 6th kingdom, the Roman Empire, the empire that came in and conquered Israel after the Roman’s were the Muslims, and there has not been an empire that dominates the region independent of Islam even up until today after WWI. There will be a resurgence of the Islamic caliphate.
