I don't know anymore because reading the Torah we went astray time after time after time , how come we are all of a sudden so much more wiser then our forefathers?????? After watching countless videos on the whole Noahide concept.. this is the absolutely BEST teaching I've ever heard, and really lays things out well and perfectly in sync with the teachings on the Messianic hope, along with the times of the end. Very well thought out and presented.. I think many a Rabbi need to watch this video and learn a thing or two about the days we have coming ahead, and learn the progress that needs to now be made with the Noahide ideology

Thanks for clarification on, 1. Mezuza for Noahide, as Chabad info mentioned not putting one up as a non jew, the input to do to show we Noahide are one with Hashem is great. As for Shabbat I had read that Noahide can't do Shabbat because we're not obligated like the Jews. So it's confusing to us. But I like putting away digital phones aside for the day.

Thank you, I first learned of Noahide laws by an Ojibwe chief, my family and I have been studying the Hebrew language at dinner time, and on my own I was studying the Ojibwe language and creation stories, I started noticing parallels, I asked the Ojibwe man about this and he said he just returned from Israel and shared the Noahide laws with me.

Yes. I've invested 20+ years into Native history, culture, and spiritual beliefs. Although they differ they are remarkably also the same: no sons of God by a human woman. Wakan Tanka God of the northern plains which includes Ojibwe translates literally as GREAT SPIRIT. Wakan means great and mighty. Tanka is spirit. There you go. Lots to think about there. I've always thought of Native American spirituality as being monotheistic from my understandings of the Great Mystery. All else, physical & nonphysical, spring from the Great Mystery, & align with it. Do I have it right? Also, on a personal level, you comfort me. I am friends w a Native American family (children of a variety of tribes, some mixed with Latino, African, & "white" ancestors). They are anti-Israel & I have always brushed it aside. Since Oct 7 I feel I must talk to them about it, but I don't know how to begin. They believe Israel is an apartheid, colonial state of white European who oppress Palestinians. A couple of the older men in this family worked in religious Jewish summer camps in their youth, & they came to love Jewish culture. They insist Jews are good people, & they are anti-Israel but not antisemetic. I don't know how to start the conversation with them. I know I could have emotional over-reactions from their responses. Any suggestions?

@@brynawaldman5790 I have noticed that among much of the Native American population, I often think of Joseph in Egypt to deliverance with Moses and that has guided my discourse. They do feel like they relate to Palestinians and so that and popular culture of victimhood shapes their worldview whereas I like to focus on the end goal of being united in the Creator. They do understand this. The US is like an Egypt to them, they had been integrated into Western society and started to lose and forget their origins, and how they were preserved but now their cry to heaven has caused a resurgence of remembrance and hope for deliverance, only this new deliverance will come by the Messiah.

⁠​​⁠@efriampalvanov thx for addressing the foreigners keeping sabbaths. Kinda off topic here, but i think you always allude to it; can you explain the principle of expecting the messiah to come as it relates to the 13 principles? From the Christian POV; i think christians think that people start out bad and need the Messiah to get back to good and have eternal life in heaven. Also to get the spirit to be good as we live out our lives. I also think christians think the Jews of the bible described in the new testament thought the same way: they were waiting on the messiah to save everyone from their sins. Even-though i don’t think its says that. I think NT jews wanted the messiah to save them from rome. I think that the Jewish people/teachings/understanding is quite the opposite; People were created good;but drifted away and started being bad, but i cant pinpoint scripture to support it. They can come back to being good if they choose to and return to God at anytime, Love Him and follow His ways. And when all jewish people choose to return to the father and walk in his ways/teachings/law, then the messiah will come. One other thing I’ve been thinking about, if I’m correct in my thought process and the messiah comes as a result of all the jewish people returning to God, then who/which jews is the messiah supposed to bring back? Unless it’s the exiles that don’t know they are Jews. I say this from the position that if it happens before the deadline that God has in place. I think there is a passage from a prophet that said it can happen sooner or in its time (God deadline, whenever that may be). Hope that makes sense. If you have already done a video that explains; please point me to it.

Pls help me understand, I am so confused, being a Noahide, I used to keep Shabbat and stopped when I was told by several Rabbis that it was wrong because I was not a Jew or a convert, they said it was a sin because it was like if I were stealing 😢 because this was a sign between HaShem and his people only. I feel awful now that I stopped keeping Shabbat for the past year in a half now 💔💔💔💔

The Jewish Learning Institute has a video about the Talmud that gave me the sense of it being a like computer screen from before the invention of computers, but w all the icons open at once. The pages are arranged a bit like a screen w several open websites, so that Talmudic scholars can move from "website" to "website" all at once, except that the "websites" come from specific times & commentators. The JLI video gave me the sense that commentators could communicate with each other over centuries & centuries, going back to Torah as the foundation, & speculating on everything else. It helped me understand a bit more. The visual arrangements of commentary on Talmudic pages (was Talmud ever on scrolls?) really matter.

I am truly looking forward to part 3. 1 question for here or part 3 please: Thanks to G-d's light through Judaism, my beliefs and practice have aligned with Judaism where it differs with Christianity. So as a 'Noachide' who also evidently descends from Conversos or Bnei Anusim, but can't convert or fully return yet (40 year marriage to Christian wife), is there any halachic prohibition to my putting on tefillin for private prayer? I am so grateful to be transformed by the 4th revolution! However just 7 laws for the nations have always seemed far too limited, too lacking a more comprehensive guidance. The lists of 30 make a lot more sense not just for the time after the coming of Messiah, but for today. Especially a list that permits comprehensive Torah study for the nations! Christianity's separation from Judaism coincided with Christian confusion concerning Written Torah and Oral Torah, the Oneness of G-d, Shabbat, and the Shabbaton. Nonetheless, Christianity has taught almost all of the rest of the 30 Noachide laws as just part of basic Christian ethics (along with the 10 commandments). For the nations, I see Christianity then also as a 'corrupted Noahide type' movement still nonetheless helping prepare the world for the Messianic reign. I see myself as a 'lost spark', grasping tzitzit of Jews to get back 'on track' for teshuva. As for me, I have realized my need for a welcoming Rabbi and actual connection to a Jewish community rather than a Noachide study group.

I had a very close friend that took her life recently, she wanted to convert but about 6 months into the process, she found out that it was too late for her to have kids. I wish I would have thought to show her this verse with the "Mesorasim", there's even a Kal VaHomer there... A lot of women have to deal with this issue unfortunately.

I realized after I started the current daf yerushalmi cycle that along with Mishnah yomit and daf yomi Bavli and daf Yerushalmi - forms an acronym of Mem bet yod maviy- I understand! I also added two paragraphs of minor tractates as a corresponding book end to two mishnayot; but I find it surprising tosefta doesn't have a study cycle although you could always do seder hamishmarah Mishnaic tractate to tosefta if you had the time and energy

1:10 The discussion of the Seven Laws is actually in Kuzari 3:73 3:30 Actually, the original version of Acts 15:20 has it differently. Instead of, "and things strangled," you have, "and do not to to another what is hateful to yourself." (Codex Bezae, Iranaeus). The reason the passage was changed was because this ties the passage in with Shabbat 31b where Hillel schools a Noahide about how to learn Torah quickly, i.e., standing on one foot. This ties Acts 15:20 to the teaching of Hillel. Add the three big no-no's in Judaism-murder, adultery, and idolatry-and James felt like he covered all the bases. 7:53 This list has some errors. First of all, recognizing God's Oneness, and Prayer. There is no positive commandment for a non-Jew to believe in Hashem. Unlike Judaism, an atheist can be an observant Noahide. Let me repeat: THERE IS NO POSITIVE COMMANDMENT FOR A NOAHIDE TO BELIEVE IN GOD. Jews have to believe in God. Noahides do not. Therefore, the commandments of believing in God's Oneness and prayer are not applicable to Noahides. There is also the question of honoring parents; if the parents are idolaters, and are pressuring a Noahide to turn away from the Torah, one must understand a Noahide's duty is to Hashem first (ditto the parents). 8:30 Rama miFano's list also has some problems. The commandments "be fruitful" and "multiply" are for Jews, not Noahides. The law of Shabbat is also not applicable (San. 58b). 17:25 Correction: that is how Jews master Torah. For the Noahide, the Talmud is a closed book. There are sections that should be studied, such as San. 56a-60a, not to discover halakha (we have the codes for this), but to understand what is being discussed, and the processes the rabbis use to figure out Noahide Law. A Noahide who reads this part of Sanhedrin will see right away that there is no basis for a religion; the Noahide Law is a moral and legal code.

And did G-d then make the biggest mistake by showing the whole world a fake Messiah that led to God being worshipped by billions of souls ? We don't seem to bother with that at all , it's always more "what can we get from it" which seems very egoistical. So I'm being more and more afraid that we actually denied the Mashiach or G-d is a very deceptive one OR made an incredible mistake 😥 Why did we as a people never care about telling the whole world about our G-d? If it wasn't for the false Mashiach no-one would have known Him except for us . And you say the Goyim will finally then want to learn the Torah but they have the Old Testament already thanks to the fake Mashiach this was a mistake or Satan at work? I don't know anymore because reading the Torah we went astray time after time after time , how come we are all of a sudden so much more wiser then our forefathers?????? That's not an issue. Most secular Jews have a mezuzah also, and many Reform-affiliated people who might not even be halakhically Jewish. The presence of a mezuzah does not indicate a kosher or Shabbat-observant home anyway.

Great class. How can I inspire non jews to keep shabbat when the rabbis said it's a death sentence for them to do so? Why are they so strict if the goal is for shabbat to be global. I thought it was 1 of the 3 exclusive signs of jews special relationship with hashem. Thanks

Will clarify this more in Part 3. The general rule regarding blessings for a Noahide would be to avoid the blessings over specific mitzvot, since they include the phrase that God "commanded them to us", and that phrase wouldn't apply to a Noahide (for whom it is voluntary, not obligatory). The general blessings that only invoke God as King of the Universe would be fine to recite.

The Noahite law included eating everything that moves according to Genesis 9. Circumcision isn't mentioned until Abraham. Kosher laws are not mentioned until Leviticus 11 addressed to sons of Israel. Mezuzas are not mentioned. Succoth is not forbidden. Sabbath is required.

No, because that would defeat the whole point of why Jews want Gentiles to be Noahides rather than converts, which is to keep the land promises for the physical children of Israel only and not to assimilate with non-Jews and dilute the line of inheritance. This is not a criticism, just a statement of fact. I think this was probably God's plan, and Paul facilitated it. The Jews hate Paul, but he did contribute to the cause of keeping Jews a separate, discrete people to this very day.
