7:24 I have a theory relating to chopper that his devil fruit is actually the mushroom that can heal any illness that was mentioned in his backstory. That also might be the effects of the hito-hito no mi if a normal human ate it. And it was also mentioned that blackbeard went to drum island, and as we know he searches for rare devil fruits. So this confirms that chopper's fruit might be very special. Now relating to the theory at 7:24, I think it might be possible that chopper will sacrifice himself and have luffy eat him so that luffy can get the power and maybe heal himself or something since you can receive devil fruit powers from eating a devil fruit user (like big mom).

I created my own theory concerning Devil fruits for my One Piece fanfic, but it may make total sense in a way. The theory is that Devil Fruits can be used to make alcohol, and during the fermentation process, the enzyme that negates the ability to swim is rendered inert. This is because the Devil fruit in question will need to be added to other fruits to make whatever kind of booze is needed: so apples for hard cider, grapes for wine, lemons for limoncello, etc. The flip-side of that is that the alcohol made with the juices of the Devil Fruit are more palatable, and taste better.
