I so wanted to make trucking my pre-retirement career and was planning on doing that for my retirement since I worked in construction my whole life and, as so typical, didn't put away any retirement money. At age 50, I was diagnosed with heart failure, and doctors put in a defibrillator to protect me from any issues, but that eliminated my plan to drive. If that had not happened, I would beg you for advice and a job. You and Brax are just the kind of people I was going to seek out and work for, hoping to be trained under your advice and standards so that if everything worked out and I qualified, I would drive exclusively for a family-owned trucking company that had such pride in their equipment. I can't drive ugly anything especially and enjoy it. The bigger the fancier, the prouder the rig, the more fun it is to drive. The challenge of maneuvering a fancy rig is so fun. Like Brax, I grew up getting behind the wheel at a young age whenever I could. Driving rigs like a 4x4 truck with a camper pulling a boat whenever we were off the main roads. I started that at age 13. Then at age 21, I drove a friend's 45' Prevost bus motor coach from Portland, Oregon, to Los Angeles and instantly fell in love with the brute power of that diesel engine and the size of this bus. It was just fantastic; I drove that big coach through LA and SF over the Golden Gate Bridge and parallel parked it in DT SF. People were shocked as I pulled two jet skis and a brand-new Corvette on a trailer. That rig was $750 k bucks back then, which was like 1991 or so. But that is what made me want to drive a truck for a living, and now it won't ever happen. So my story is to go after what you really want in life cause if you hesitate, you might miss your opportunity to do what you want. I am disappointed that my plan didn't work, so I love watching your videos. sorry for the long-winded comment.

* * * * PLEASE , Aim those lights , they are a "Cut-Off" beam , which means that you can see , when it's snowing , or foggy , or dust storm , or heavy rain , but the Must be aimed either Level , or slightly lower , Then you will not see all the snowflakes or raindrops , etc. , you will see the road , on Low Beam , because you will; be focused below them . Right now your lights are aimed to high and shining into other trucks mirrors .

@@burntnougat5341 * * * * The sad thing is , that he will never discover how good that type of headlight is in a snowstorm or fog , instead of looking like a solid wall in front of you , with the "cut-off" beam , you can see the road because there is no diffused light above the beams cut off . and you can see it when he was passing those other trucks , his headlights were right in those trucks mirrors , and it's hard to escape what your mirrors are shining back to you . If you play back that video to where he is passing , you can see a definite line , the "CUT-OFF" . It is a built-in Fog Light .

Tim I love the head lights and I think I'm going to put a set on my 379 I love the fenders.I think you said that truck had a Cummins and that's the nicest sounding Cummins I've heard.Im 76 years old and I have owned 9 trucks and 6 of them were Petes 359 and 379s and I had cats from 1693 to 3406Es my last truck was just like your rooster with the same bunk and everything.I have a 94 379 flat top heavy haul and work local. @@dash456789 back in the day I installed Xeon bulbs in my Malibu, everyone was flashing me with my low beams on. Was on my way to work at 2am, noticed a guy who wasn’t flashing me, then he whipped a uturn and flashed me with some reds 🤣🤣 said why you driving with your high beams, and I said I wasn’t and turned on the hi beams and the whole road looked like day time. He laughed and asked if I had recently played with the headlights. I said yeah and he said to pull into the parking lot and park like a customer,so I did and he pulled out his multi tool and adjusted them down to show the beam at my eye level instead of where they were. Never met such a cool cop since. This is why I suggest this method exactly 🤣

Idea for you Tim, accident damaged trucks - what if you purchased an accident damaged truck, to fix up on the channel to put back into service, nothing to seriously damaged but maybe cosmetic, a bit of body and some mechanical issues. Would make some great content, I personally love the repair work content and it would be both interesting and potentially get you another vehicle into your business!
