I have adult acne and I'm using The ordinary retinol 1% in squalane at night, wash my face with Aloe Vera gel in the morning following by The Ordinary Salicylic 2% with CeraVe facial lotion and sometime The Ordinary Sunscreen 30 SPF - None of these products are supposed to be comedogenic but I still breakout.. I'm not sure if it's a purging caused by the retinol or if I just need to stop using all product. Because I rarely get pimple under my beard where I don't use any products but I get some in my jaw and all the face area where i apply the products..

Heinrich LAURENT why don’t you do a research about face mopping? Maybe it’s about your diet
@Isa22Cruz6 жыл бұрын
I'd say think about your diet or whether you touch that part of your face unconsciously during the day? There is also a chance that it might have to do with how a product moves on your face. If you have a beard there is a chance that if you didn't cleanse your face and beard thoroughly this would travel down to your chin and then cause buildup or breakouts.

@Isa22Cruz6 жыл бұрын
Try sleeping on your back. This sounds like a really dumb suggestion but it happened to me too. I noticed I was getting more breakouts on one side of my face and this helped. Also be mindful of whether you touch that side of your face more often unconsciously during the day. Like if you're leaning on a table and resting your head/face on your hand or whatever.

azelaic acid, niacinamide (serum but I also take pills- 500mg a day), hemp seed oil. No wheat, no dairy, moderate sugar intake. Prolonged fasting (24h+) few times a week helped me a lot. I'm not 100% sure but I think taking borax also helped (google: "borax rosacea" or "ted's remedies rosacea"). Avoid harsh and drying cleansers. To remove makeup I use few drops of oil and one small pump of cleanser.

Hydrating cleansers! Shea moisture has a wonderful one the *"frankincense and myrrh facial cleanser"* its a really mild exfoliating cleanser. It works wonders for redness and irritated skin. Its super gentle and hydrating and has never broke me out either! I'd also say stay away from irritating foods like too much spice, sugars, hot sauce or coffee (sometimes) and have more anti-inflammatory foods like blue berries, ginger and turmeric :) Hope this helps!
@Kriscarroll195 жыл бұрын
I have the worst rosacea!!! I use the day yes to cucumber soothing milk cleanser to wash my face, and then I tone with the rose soothing toner from pixi. After that I spray my face with the thayers rose water and witch hazel spray, and while it’s still wet, I put on my moisturizer. In the morning I use a Josie maran Argan oil moisturizer with spf 47, a green correcting moisturizer from shea moisture, and then I mix in some jasmine oil from pixi. At night I just use the oil on my skin, while it’s still wet. Putting moisturizer on wet skin has been the biggest and easiest game changer in my skin. Also I never use any cleanser other than oil or milk or cream. Anything that foams is bad. And try not to over exfoliate, cause that’ll irritate, but make sure you do as much as your skin needs. I personally do maybe every other day. I use the lush dark angels scrub and it helps with those little acne rosacea bumps. Hope this helps!

I get the odd pimples on my face but have never had it bad or much on my face, where I get it more is on my shoulders and my back, this has been happening for the last year and a half, I was on minocycline and that worked, I've used Retin A and it works but very harsh on the skin at times, now the acne is starting to come back, not as bad as before, but I'm upset it's still happening, even though I'm a guy, it really does effect me and I'm getting sick of it. I use oil free body wash, and just started taking cod liver oil and a Vitamin B complex supplement, I could not find straight vitamin B5 here in Canada at the store at least, this complex supplement does have B5 in it though, can anyone tell me if taking a B complex supplement works? Or should I just take B5?

Any type of acid will likely break you in the beginning. It is the purging effect. Keep using it for at least a month. A better choice is azelaic acid and salicylic acid. I explain why here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i2fQonSMnd9-aK8

What are your thoughts on curology?
@MarissaLaipsker6 жыл бұрын
It has been life changing in conjunction with TriNessa birth control. Cystic acne cured. Maintining a rigid skincare routine is a huge factor as well.
@Isa22Cruz6 жыл бұрын
I tried it for a year and I think because you have to wait for a couple months to see if the product is right for you or not it became quite expensive and not worth it. Honestly, it didn't help my skin that much, it made it really dry at first and we changed the formula but still didn't quite make much of a difference. I would say take it with a grain of salt and if you're going to try it and make sure you are super open with the dermatologist that is helping you with your curology bottles (what has worked for you in the past and what hasn't). It didn't make my skin better but it didn't make my acne worse either so was it worth the extra money??? Meh I don't think so. From someone who's suffered from acne for 10+ years and is now figuring out how to control breakouts, I think your best bet is to continue learning about *your own skin* and you'll find a better way yourself. Nobody will know your skin better than you.

@CyrilleLaurent6 жыл бұрын
No, it is not too much. If you start to have scars, it is essential to consult a dermatologist. Know that Accutane will make your acne worst for 4 to 6 weeks and then it gets better. A side effect of Accutane is extreme dryness, apply plenty of moisturizers with no essential oils, no perfume, and no irritants. The perfect gel from Hada Labo is a good option. Jhanvi Patel I healed my acne so many times by skin care products, but it will come back , several times. The last time I decided to change my diet, finding the root causes of it. I got healthy to heal acne. Your body is trying to tell you something, listen to it. All the videos how I heal my acne 8 years ago of some doctors always to tell you about your gut, health, none of them tell you what to put on your face. I put kefir mask and my acne gone really quick. The problem is when you put tons of chemicals on your face, it will be absorbed into your bloodstream, your liver have to work on those nasty things. What frustrates me about this modern conventional society, we all are victims of those giant cooperations, government, mainstream media. The lie we live is so big that everybody think it's true.
