If you're fortunate to have a kayak with rails, the Native brand Side Kicks are simply awesome. I deflate the tires on mine. Rolls good enough but the luxury is ease of sliding them on & off while on the water (not fighting the air pressure resistance)

I would agree with you there. in 99% of cases. I would not use a kayak cart and I'm a supporter of Native Sidekicks 100%. Got em on both of my yaks

Great video! I can’t stand the scupper kayak carts simply due to it not being easy to load my kayak on. I have a hobie pa 14 and WAY to much gear, plus the kayak weighting over 50lbs more then me it’s not to easy to load the kayak on the cart. I gotta give it to wilderness systems on there kayak carts, they are 🔥

Lol.. That's awesome... even though its not a cart...... I highly recommend the Native Sidekicks over an cart any day if your kayak supports the rails.

For the warning part, I’d advise against saying Hobie can be used with scupper hole carts. Alex Rudd fishing messed up his Hobie by using a scupper hole cart. There’s a video he did about year ago with Creek Fishing adventures where he started taking on water fast after using his.

I stand my my comment here, just because Alex had an issue doesn't mean that Hobie's aren't designed for scupper hole carts. www.hobie.com/accessories/carts/

@@wendellfishing I just think scupper hole kayak carts are always a bad idea. Especially if the kayaks designed for em are having issues. It’d suck having that happen to a $4k+ yak

The Sidekick No-Float tires are not for bad ramps & heavy yaks. The Inflated Tires are better for heavy loaded yaks. Lucky Wendall was at the boat ramp to help me when my tracks bent.😅

Hey Darren, just got my first fishing kayak today. Was fishing off an inflatable intex kayak and decided to get a actual hard body fishing kayak. Your videos helped me decide what to get and help a ton since im starting and this video too since im thinking of getting a cart. Yohr deserve way more subs (i dropped a sub myself after watching like 4 vids) keep uo the greay content
