Jett dominating has only upped my love for this sport, the kid put on a masterclass last year, if you don't like watching him dominate i guess you didn't like watching RC or JS do it either 🤷, i don't think it's a failure if he doesn't clean sweep again but barring bike issues or crashes i don't see him losing many if any. I cannot wait.

I don't agree. I say Jett is the best for one respect, he is the only one who can dominate on these "tracks of equality". Statistically speaking, that is amazing. But the 2-strokes took more talent to go fast on, we let the tracks get rough, and not too many racers had the tracks wired as they do today, (with NASCAR close lap times today in the top 10). The talent is different today, faster (thanks to the EPA 4-stroke forced engines), more dangerous (people dying on the track now), but not as talented as far as a wide range of talents, that different tracks demanded. Now we complain about the sand, braking bumps, mud, ruts, developing bumps on the track, and even a great block pass (which is more dangerous because of the higher 4-stroke speeds). But if you were to say, these guys are the best in soft dirt, (every one of our national tracks, by force of course) whoops, and rhythm sections and smooth tracks, then yea, the guys today are super talented in those 4 things. Will we see the day where the dirt bike is as easy to ride as sitting in a Lazy Boy recliner chair, and we will all brag about how much talent we have? Probably not, because nobody we know will be able to afford a bike. Another "cost" of letting the EPA tell us what to make and buy.

I feel like it’s crazy to think that Jett could possibly be complacent in just his second 450 MX season at the age of 20. Let’s keep in mind, Jett was managing his lead and relaxing for most of the season last year. He’d find a way to go even faster when he was pressured and relaxed again when he built his lead back up. We still have no idea what it would look like if Jett pushed for a whole moto. JS7 and RC would try to beat people by a minute, Jett just wins. Going undefeated is statistically hard and I feel like it would be unlikely for him to repeat. One bike failure and a moto is lost. However, there isn’t a strong argument to make saying it can’t happen again. If Jett is looking at JS7 or RC knowing that they both have 2 perfect seasons, expect him to be motivated

I love to see the best of mankind in any industry. Those are the individuals who raise the bar for the rest of mankind tor each for. Great individuals spur "greatness" We used to praise the individuals who were/are great, and now we want them to fall back and join the losers? What will that make us, if we don't have greatness to look up to? That is not too deep for you guys,----is it? It is true. Oh, and if you want to talk about "battles on the track", go back to the 2-stroke days before we were forced to put a road race engine in a dirt bike. Nobody had the track wired, (usually), and those battles lasted much longer than 2 corners, as we see today for a "good battle". That is reality. What changed?

I’m glad DB said that about “im out” it’s how a lot of us feel with the new rule changes and the ora of the sport as a whole. Total domination is boring but what’s worse is the favoritism the sport seems to have for the Lawrence’s. Not only that but the elitist mentality has been adopted by a lot of the people in it. It’s not the same anymore and a lot of us will be leaving if it continues down this path, we aren’t here for F1 on 2 wheels, we’re here for bar to bar racing on dirt bikes.
@EarthSurferUSA

Believe me. The FIM does not want to see one guy dominate. They are socialists/communists and make the tracks so racers are as equal as possible. I will bet you if a SX track was made with nothing but flat ground, the lap time spreads would be further apart than the l "lap times of equality" we see in the top 10 today. It really is not possible for 10 guys to have the same talent,---unless the tracks are easy enough for them (not us), so they all can get the track wired. The SX tracks have basically been the same since the FIM took over our racing. The FIM has hated American dominance ever since 1981, and now we let them turn our racing into a fast parade, instead of finding the best talent. The FIM hates Jett. Trust me. That actually makes Jett a hero, beating all of communism in this sport as a talented individual. :)

6 straight. Nobody counts SMX as anything. It's a one off 3 race novelty title. Jetts the man. He'll win plenty more real titles.

My sentiments exactly 😂🫠. That kid is claiming it so hard when he got his ass handed to him all of mx and sx by hunter. Also that point system is such a hand me down. But whatever… who gives a cats knuckle

While probability says a perfect season isn’t likely, I feel like your reasons for him not going perfect are just made up. He’s shown he doesn’t really feel pressure-I genuinely think he’s like a kid and is just having fun. And he’s only learning more and becoming even stronger, while chase is on a new bike that he’s struggled with and has never been better on it than he was last year. So I don’t see where any variables are pointing towards Jett doing worse this year.

J Coop is grossly overrated. He found it so hard to get overall wins in outdoors. He would podium a lot which kept him in around the title but never got one. Now he’s in the 450s - forget about it. Honestly stunned his on that star Yamaha bike. I understand it’s the 3rd seat and he gets nowhere near the money that Webb and tomac get and he’s openly said he doesn’t want the third seat and will look somewhere else. If that happens good luck man. You will be mid for the rest of your career in that class.
