I've been having my own movement for years now. I don't hate men and so me decentering them wasn't a revenge or anything along those lines. I simply don't find most of them attractive anymore. Yes, as a straight woman I definitely find certain men physically attractive. However, I find them emotionally, psychologically, mentally, spiritually, very BLAH. So, the physical attraction just isn't very strong anymore. It's overridden by the other aspects I don't find interesting at all. Add to that the fact I don't "need" them for any other reason. I have my own money. Enough for me to travel and vacay anytime I want since I work remotely and can do so anywhere.

I’m a survivor of rape as it happened when I was 5 yrs old by a great uncle on my mom’s side of the family. From that trauma growing up,I’ve always been very fearful and very wary of men despite the fact that I fully identify as a straight woman. As an adult,I have NO desire to marry and have children as that lifestyle never appealed to me; I had BOTH of my tubes removed so that I wouldn’t and couldn’t have children and NO man was ever going to be a factor in my decision. Despite struggling with my dating life due to my childhood trauma,I realized that my life did NOT need to center around men and that it was important to prioritize my own health,wellbeing,and my own happiness on my own terms. I’m happily single and living a Childfree Dog Mom life and I couldn’t be happier with my choice; living my life for myself and found empowerment from it. I guess I’ve been unknowingly living a 4B life anyway. Interesting how my life happened the way it did.🤔
