I was taken on my birthday to go see this in theaters. As a consumer of horror: specifically aliens and found footage kinds of horror, it still to this day is my favorite of it's kind. My favorite horror film and what I consider to be the most frightening in my own opinion. Everyone has an opinion on what type of horror is truly scary to them. For me, it's believe-ability, it is possibility of truth. The fear this movie instills is primal and brings you back to your days sweating in bed at night, scared of the unknown as a child. It is anxiety of what you will see next as the beginning pulls no punches. Whether or not aliens are real, there are truly disturbing clips in this movie of people who ACTUALLY died. That is why others in the comment section warn not to watch it if you think you aren't ready. Appreciate this film for what it is, a question. Nothing is scarier to me than the unknown.

I still have memories from before I was 5 years old. I'm the only one in my family that does. And one of them was this same face, from back in the late '70s. It was before the movies Close Encounters or ET, and before the infamous book cover for Communion entered pop culture. As a 3 or 4 year old young boy, I was at my grandmother's old house with my folks and a bunch of uncles and aunts. We had a fun time talking and eating and watching TV, but eventually it got dark outside , and my mother told me I looked sleepy so it was my bedtime. She sent me down the hall from the dining room to the front bedroom to change into my pajamas and to lay down in the tall guest bed there. It was a cool evening, so we had a lot of the windows open to allow a breeze to blow throughout the house. There were screens in all the window frames. As I was taking out my clothes from my bag at the foot of the bed, and with the sounds of continued talking and laughter coming from down the hall, I heard some scratching and I noticed a movement out of the corner of my eye. And then I saw it: the classic gray face with big black eyes, staring back at me, from just outside the side window. It was a low mounted window, with the window sill about a foot off the floor, so the raised window pane couldn't have been more than 4 feet off the ground. Whatever it was, it was shorter than 4 feet tall. I freaked! And I screamed like a little girl! The face also shreaked, but in a lower, animal like warble. And then the face disappeared. Before I knew it, my parents and one of my uncles were standing beside me. My mom picked me up, and they all started asking me what was wrong at the same time. I pointed and told them there was someone at the window. I told them it had big black eyes and pointy chin, with no hair. They all looked over to the window, and of course they saw nothing. They tried to comfort me by dismissing my fear, and told me that I must have already fallen asleep and had a bad dream. But I rejected their explanation. I knew I had remained awake the entire time. I was in the middle of preparing my pajamas when it happened. I had heard the grown-ups' voices continuously throughout all of it. There had not even been that much time that passed since I was sent to the bedroom in the first place. I swore I saw someone out there, but he was gone then. The men laughed it off and returned to the dining room, while my mom changed my clothes and tucked me into bed. She also closed the window and drew the curtains tight, and turned on a floor fan for air circulation and background noise. I didn’t fall asleep quickly; it took me awhile. Memories of this incident stuck with me throughout my childhood, but my relatives all pooh-poohed it away as the idle imagination of a child. But years later, I put some things together, and I confronted my folks and my grandparents about them. I asked when the row of hedges was erected on that side of the house. They had not been there forever, because old photos showed the yard on that side of the house being completely empty. And that’s when they finally admitted some important things to me. That same night of the incident as a little boy, my father had gone out onto that side of the house with a flashlight, and he had found something. He told me he had seen scuffmarks in the soil just outside the window sill, which appeared to be too big for an animal, but too small for an adult. There were no individual toe prints or outlines, but they did look vaguely like child-sized footprints. They had waited decades to share this with me! And it was precisely because of this incident and their findings that my grandparents had the row of bushes planted on that side of the house, including in front of that low window. And we stopped opening windows for air flow, relying exclusively on air conditioning instead. To this day, 40 years later, I still don’t know exactly what it was that I saw. I am unaware of any other weird incidents like this, and my parents have not been forthcoming about such either. But I definitely know I saw something --someone-staring at me from outside that window. It was something that made my toddler self scream in fear. And it was something that alarmed the grown ups in my life enough to put up some security measures to prevent it from happening again.

Whether or not you like this movie, I think the woman acting as the "real" Abigail Tyler is one of the best/most convincing actors I've ever seen. Even knowing this movies "realilty" was staged, her performance is the most realist thing about it! Especially her final emotional scenes at the end - really, she's awesome!

I guess you haven't heard about some of the cases where people thought that too, but it didn't make a difference. They can take you kicking and screaming, whilst the person besides you is knocked out. Well big cities seem to make no odds. Or living between flats in an apartment block( anywhere but the top lol) I used to think that til I heard more of these cases. From studies of different people from all walks of life that had these experiences, all had that in common, thinking well populated places would change what was happening.

Speaking of ananuki, you should look into the wingmakers and the interviews with Dr. Anderson. Better to read the original itranscripts first before tiny portions of it were edited out by govt censors. The story about the wingmakers came to light when a grouo discovered inside of a rock formation, were 23 chambers/rooms carved out in a spirol, each room containing art, ,music etc and it was later determined to be a time capsule, from an advanced human race. The discovery happened back in the 70's, the govt took over and it was called the "Ancient Arrow Project". However, there were things (like optical discs) nobody heard or seen yet and it ended up taking us 30+ yrs just to have the technology to decypher the discs. Definately worth researhing.

When I was in my first year of high school, at the end of the school year, classmate said he had 1 good "historic" movie and asked out history teacher if we could watch it. Teacher said yes and we watched that "good historic movie". After that I was waking up at 3:32 - 3:33 a lot of times at night, and that continued for like 3 years. I was always in fear at night when 3:33 was about to happen. After some time I saw that that movie was actually a horror and I was not surprised. Remember we were watching it at school, not at home or at night ( even worse ) and I was still in fear. Now that was like 8 years ago, today I'm a different person. Would I still experience the same fear if I watched movie today ? Probably not, but still, this movie is really scary, because it includes clips of what actually happened. This is just a warning to people that want to watch it, if you are looking for a really scary horror movie, then this is 100% for you. Just to add few things. The guy said that the language of those beings is sumerian. Now sumerians are the oldest known ancient civilization and they have all kinds of stories. But they were not the only ones to talk about beings coming from stars or from somewhere else. Basically every ancient civilization has stories of beings or gods coming from the skies. Now whether you believe that they are aliens from space, or interdimensional beings or whatever, it doesn't really matter, what matters is that everyone ever since ancient times is talking about some other beings that are in contact with us. If we deny that there are other beings out there somewhere ( whatever they are ), then we might never find out the truth, about all those stories and events, that are happening on our planet for thousand of years.
